HF rout speed

Post by stancolleymore »

When a unit of heavy foot routs does it go 3 ins if enemy are within 5 and 4 ins if outside 5. It seems a bit strange if you rout slower when the enemy are chasing you.

Yes - routers move normal move distances when no longer in contact with enemy.

Possibly - but its easy to imagine that you'd keep looking behind you or take evasive action if the enemy are close which would slow you down.

Could be justified by saying their formation has broken up even more so is not as dense so they can move faster
