How to share your custom scenarios made in the Editor

Post by Tamas »

Hi All,

We have been looking into ways to make the sharing of scenarios done entirely from within the game, but that requires a bit of work to do right, so in the meantime, here is how you can share your own creations, or try out somebody else's!

The custom-made scenarios are saved to:
"C:\Users\Username\AppData\LocalLow\Catrabbit\Heroes Of Normandie\Editor" where "Username" is your Windows username. This Username folder appears just as that in your Windows Explorer. For example, it looks like this to me:

Image

You will find your saved scenarios there (filename being the name you gave to the scenario) and you need to copy other people's custom scenarios to this folder for them to appear in your different game modes.

And just to make clear: you do NOT need to do this to play your scenarios in multiplayer. If you post a challenge using your custom scenario, it will be shared by the player who accepts your challenge.

I hope this helps. :)

oh and mines a none DLC game for you to try, so in other words you don't need the DLC to test it

bridge is a bottleneck for both side, both sides need to cross so neither should block it, lots of troops, not great LOS as blocked in many places so no long range shots, or not that many chances for them anyway.

something thrown together in 3 mins but plays quite well, has size, scope and lots of troops, all need to be positioned, already bought for you, it's a capture at the end of the turn battle, you both need a hex in each others side, so will have to come out and attack, or loose either way

Army Gold: GER 2265, USA 2250!

The word "huge" doesn't even describe it.

I'll play it :p

again the bridge is a bottleneck for both side, both sides need to cross so neither should block it, lots of troops, not great LOS as blocked in many places so no long range shots or not very many, or not that many chances for them anyway with % less than last one as more cover and rubble to hide in.

something thrown together in 3 mins but plays quite well, has size, scope and lots of troops, all need to be positioned, already bought for you, it's a capture at the end of the turn battle, you both need a hex in each others side, so will have to come out and attack, or loose either way.

in under 10 turns

again a none DLC needed map...

enjoy commanders, and may the dice always roll in your favour

3rd one, a city, a hard nut to crack, with the Germans having the upper hand, best played imo against the AI with you as the US, but can be done from either side tbh, enjoy

10 turns again, you need to capture a hex and keep it until game ends, a again no DLC version...

your welcome,

so only one needed to download it, then 2 can play it online head to head / multi player fun

first all DLC battle,
Untitled.jpg
Untitled.jpg (243.43 KiB) Viewed 10171 times
imo best played as the attacker, but tbh can be played as either side, but was designed for a hard fast attack by the US, with the Germans as the defenders.

objectives are for the US to take one of 4 places over the river, with the Germans having to kill, 6 units, but command / hero ones to win, so a very tough nut to crack, 10 turns commander, are you up for it soldier?

as i keep forgetting to mention, Germans set up on the right, with the US on the left, the US have a lot of ground to cover, with the Germans already on the right side, pre bought as in all my builds, just both sides need to be placed before you start.

enjoy, total time to build, 3 to 4 mins, tested 1 hour

ps. as i don't no longer play the game only test it (i just don't have the time), i bought the DLC just to add it to the editor for you  as i'm that sort of guy, Merry Christmas all, and happy new year and may the dice always roll in your favour

weird. all scenarios on page play fine except for the 501st rangers assault. map comes up all jumbled.
all scenarios i've created are okay too.

Man, you are a machine :D

Thank you and devs for making this important and free addition to the game. No one should even think twice about buying the $2 DLC, as well.

With the huge maps, will it be possible to go beyond 10 turns?

13 is max in the editor, but that may change at a later date like other stuff, more units etc, maybe one day, after cards and stuff, only guessing mind you as no idea, but 13 is the turns for now

13 turns is definitely workable for now. Thanks for the info and scenarios!
