windows 10 don't start

have you loaded also the pre requisites which come with the game?

as the game needs them and won't work without

fixed! If no cable is plugged in the sound card, it doesn't "exist" for the software (dxdiag reports no sound card for instance) And apparently the game is not able to just say "oh no sound card I'll make no sounds then" but crashes. Sigh..
