Hi!
I am working on a new patch.
To the date it includes this:
- Interdictor module is now much quicker to research
- Fixed a bug with experience points lost for small ships in hangars
- Search for objects on a global map (fleets, ships, stars, planets, heroes)
- Keyboard shortcuts for fleets and stars on a global map
- Upkeep info added to the ship info screen
- Possibility to name fleets
- Configuration option to always allow initial ship placement in combat, even when attacking
- Fixed a bug with different scanner/jammer types not showing in the design info
- Fixed a bug with "radioactive world" race lacking hydroponics
- Allowed a bit closer zoom-in for the galaxy map
Will be released soon (hope to give it to production team this weekend)
Patch 1.05

thanks for the work as always

And found "anomalies", please. Recently I couldn't find discovered (but not opened due to lack of containers) "gravitational anomaly". The fact that it looks like a blue star added to the problem.Ufnv wrote:- Search for objects on a global map (fleets, ships, stars, planets, heroes)

Re: Patch 1.05
Indeed, awesome to see tweaking and incremental improvements going on after release.
Re: Patch 1.05
Hi,
For a bit of final testing on this, we've put it up as an Open Beta on Steam.

I understand that not everyone likes Steam, but it's considerably easier for us to put up a quick test preview with their system. Needless to say, the final patch will be released to Slitherine users at the same time as on Steam.
Thanks!

For the $40 game this sounds unreasonably "cheap". But, of course, you don't really care.Shards wrote:I understand that not everyone likes Steam, but it's considerably easier for us to put up a quick test preview with their system.

It's not about cheap, it's about time. Syncing a build to a steam open beta branch is very quick to do, much quicker than creating a new installer that we have to test to ensure that it doesn't do any harm or have any ill effects when uninstalled.
We care a lot, that's why we've gone for this route for this particular pre-patch

It's been a week since the "pre-patch" on Steam. When do we see it here?
