Common bug lockup

I have yet to complete a game since the big upgrade from Shenandoah to Slitherine. iPhone 4, many scenarios, both sides, often at change of day with opponent's replacements highlighted, often with opponents icon showing in Commit button, but always game claiming it's my turn. Eventually the game locks and I can't do anything no matter what I click except close the game. Is it in any way possible that this may happen after a player clicks Send Turn or Commit but closes the app (by clicking Close or double clicking the device's home button) before a turn is actually sent?
