Multiplayer

Post by peterbrickwood »

In the attachment "symbol on the left" there is a "lock" and "chain" symbol beside some challenges on the left -- what do these mean?

in the attachment "wrong password" when I accept a challenge with the "lock" on the left I get the window asking for the password, when I put in my program password I get a "wrong password" message -- what password is this? how do I get it?

is there information on Slitherine's PBEM system anywhere?

Once I got into a game it worked beautifully :D

thanks pb

the password for me is one which the host or game maker makes so to make it a totally private game, so only those who he or she gives the password to can except so not a open game anyone can join, as you are entering your own password, which will be wrong as that's yours to enter the pbem system only.

if you host a game, you get the option of making it open, no password or locked needing a password, so to friends can play only only with no one else without the password being able to join or sign in

Is there a way to easily tell if challenge games have been password protected? I don't care who I play so needing a password for a private game would be minority to me anyway.

I was disappointed to buy the updated program but not see open games looking for opponents. Thanks.

No, the "lock" symbol is the only way to tell that the issued challenge is password protected.

Please provide advice or support

I can't accept multi player challenges

I am logged in correctly
I choose an unlocked, non password challenge
I accept
I get error message General Error please try again
When I try again - same result

How do I accept a challenge?

I solved this issue and can log in and accept challenges.

Another question

When I return to the multiplayer game when it is not my turn I am told it is not my turn and can't get past that message.

What do I do to enter the game and study the board when it's not my turn?

Thanks

Glad you solved the problem, unfortunately no, you can't study the board during the enemy turn but you have plenty of time to study it during your turn.
