Historical&Demanding Mod by Kondi :)
I'm currently working on a historical Mod for OoB's German GC 39-45
I would like the game to be: first - consistent with historical reality, secondly - I think it will make the game more attractive, and thirdly - it will make the game much more difficult
Therefore, I have set up 5 stages of my project:
1. correction of all erroneous or inaccurate dates of battles, operations and campaigns and their duration in time
2. corrected dates of all, coefficients and cost of some units (for now German, unfortunately it took me the most time), in addition to removing some and adding other
3. correction of the specialization and creation of a resonable system of specialization development for the Waffen SS
4. changed the emblem of the Wehrmacht to the Greek cross on a black background, consistent with the historical reality
5. minor corrections - eg. correct names of commanders etc.
EDIT. 5a. complex tests of improved content
6. collect all these files into one and create a Mod for the game (EDIT. after the release of the new, big Patch for OoB, of course)
I've already completed stages 1-5 (mostly ), there was remained the last point but the most important, I'm just reading the manual "how to create your own Mod for OoB"...
I regret very much, but because of my poor skills of modding, I limited myself to the player-controlled factions, while the AI-controlled factions were left unchanged
I think I did a titanic work with German troops in the units.csv file, next I will deal with Japanese and US Army on PTO
The British and Soviets only after the release of subsequent DLCs, similarly the correction of US troops on ETO
I will try to describe all the major (and minor, too) changes in several subsequent posts

Why did I introduce "Unreliable" trait for all heavy German tanks and vehicles built using their chassis?
1. because it is true, they had drive system and engine extremely prone to failure until the very end of the war, mainly used as immovable points of defense, they had difficulties with moving in the operational space (suitable bridges, proper terrain etc.)
2. it will force players to use Pz IVs, StuGs and Hetzers in larger quantities, which was also true
3. the game will be more difficult because of that, but in return I introduce specialization tree for the Waffen SS, which I hope will sweeten this controversial choice for many of you
4. besides, you'll learn to play Panther or Tiger despite of "Unreliable" trait, I've learned and it's really cool and super realistically

That's what Mr. T meant, I think, those of us who do not have "Heroes of Normandie" installed, won't be able to use it probably. IIRC it was "locked" a few versions ago.

I had to think for a long time and try to make Zundapp available also for the Germans, not only for the Japanese
BTW it's simply stupid, if I have bought and installed that game then I should normally have the option of using this unit in the editor, am I right?

It's a remarkable coincidence, but I was just experiencing the same frustration about the Zundapp motorcycle not being available in the scenario editor. I was looking for it because it would have been ideal for a certain operation that I have in mind but I found it was not available and then I remembered why. It's listed in units.csv and presumably the unit graphics are someplace as well, but it's blocked for the reason that Mr. T. brought up. Even if you do have access to it, Kondi, I would advise not using it if you intend to release your work to the public.

I changed this unit's class from recon to infantry and corrected the statistics (especially against soft targets), motorcycle schutzen (riflemen) weren't an ordinary reconnaissance, they were able to capture and keep important oases in the Libyan desert for example...
In addition to the inability of using camouflage, the way it's used by the Wehrmacht faction requires a special instruction
Simply, anyone who would like to have Zundapp would have to modify the unit.csv file at least twice.

On the other hand, inexplicable is the lack of StuG IV, as for me it's the only unit which needs to be added, besides there is nothing more

When it comes to air force, I can only think about Bf 110F/G and maybe Me 210, which in contrast to 410 was tactically used above the frontline

Never remove an existing entry, this can cause the game to crash (I did not test, if want you could test )
You can use "NoPurchase" and "NoEditor"
Image a scenario with the Pz VI Tiger I ausf.H, with your Mod what is going to arrive

Ok, so I'll reactivate Tiger ausf.H
For now everything works fine but in fact I didn't check how the game behave without this entry during eg. Kharkov'43 scn
There is no "auxilliary"Tiger ausf.H in any scenario I suppose, and there are any task connected with Tiger ausf.H so maybe game wouldn't crash
