Campaign Editor 7.1.4
Each branch has date fields. What are the purpose/effect of these?
In the screenshot I have entered the scenario start date, but there may be several scenarios with different start dates linked to one branch.
There are campaign start and end dates. What are the purpose/effect of these?
I have entered the start date for the first and last scenario in the campaign.
A bit of nit-picking.
Deleting a branch is performed by clicking in the top-right corner of the branch. The corner is not marked, but there's a tool-tip 'Delete this branch'.
I think this process should be more 'visible'. It is easy to delete a branch by mistake by clicking on the corner without noticing the tool-tip flash.

Re: Campaign Editor 7.1.4
As far as I can see there is no longer possible to delete a scenario from the campaign.
There used to be a red cross in the top right corner.

I have Win 8.1 and AMD ... No such artifacts. Maybe it's a windows specific bug?

Erik, the button still works, it's just the red X that's missing. There is a squiggly smudge where it used to be and it still functions:

Re: Campaign Editor 7.1.4
I think those dates are advisory only, to help you in organizing the campaign tree.

On the plus side, I see that he has included a provision for importing cores, as you saw in beta. How it works is beyond me - for example, what goes into the Campaigns text box? - but I can see this being the source of much error, such as not including the proper factions in the campaign and scenarios to accommodate the core.

Re: Campaign Editor 7.1.4
But I dont see any date setups in campaign editor/ specialization menu. In your Afrika Korps campaign file there is an start date - but how can I set this in an new campaign own setup ?The campaign dates may be used to restrict the specialisations available.

Dieter
Check the bottom date fields in the Branches tab.

Re: Campaign Editor 7.1.4
Yes I checked it - but there is no entry inside the specialization menu after date entrys in branch menu !
Re: Campaign Editor 7.1.4
Start/end dates finally work if someone/me wants to tweak the size of the spec-tree:
The Start date under Specializations adjusts the top and End date under Branches the bottom.
Drawing lines has still not been very improved though that you can't create more than one requirement from anything but the top-most spec. I bet no one but me has the desire to do that anyway.

I'd like to repeat here in big letters for short-sighted devs to hopefully notice one day:
Disabled-unittype list can still be circumvented by a reload of a saved game!

Re: Campaign Editor 7.1.4
So I tested it now Campaign Editor 7.1.4 Its not possible to create an own edited campaign with specialization dates. The specializations date lines are only included in original developers campaigns - Eric use the templates for his work.
Summary the specialization features are only for the bought content I think !

Re: Campaign Editor 7.1.4
Dieter, do you want to change dates of some specs? You would have to change dates in the specialisations.csv file found in the installation's content\data folder and put that changed file into a mod folder for your custom campaign to work with. Better copy this file first to your mod folder before you edit it. It should be no problem to edit this file with a simple text-editor. That avoids messing up the date format.

Re: Campaign Editor 7.1.4
The date specializations are not the problem - the problem is - that generally the campaign editor dont accept own costum campaigns - they are all without specializations - and without date line.
Can you help me out - if I send you my files ?

Re: Campaign Editor 7.1.4
No idea what's the problem. If you download a custom campaign from Erik here and put into the campaign folder of MyGames\OOB2\Campaigns to play it, you should also have no trouble to access it via campaign editor and modify whatever spec is available and what not.
If your installation is messed up then better reinstall everything as mentioned in way too many topics since Endsieg.

Re: Campaign Editor 7.1.4
Thank you for the quick answer - with Erics templates there is no way to change the flag sets in specialization menu - the editor dont change the sets of core flags inside the specialization menu !

Sorry, but as Horst I don't understand your problem, you can change/add/modify specs for any given faction for any stock/custom campaign:DieterPegelow wrote: ↑Mon Nov 19, 2018 9:42 pm Thank you for the quick answer - with Erics templates there is no way to change the flag sets in specialization menu - the editor dont change the sets of core flags inside the specialization menu !
