Unit Issues 7.1.4
Fellows, we are trying to organize things for the new Bugs Database but it will never replace the threads in this Tech Support forum, of course. To make it easier to compile Unit Issues for the database, would you post/re-post here whatever you have found and perhaps posted elsewhere?

Re: Unit Issues 7.1.4
This is my collection, part of it.
I re-checked my list after I converted 3A units.csv to 7.1.4 standard. This list remained to report.
---------------------------------------
- Partisans have no texture on their rifles. on both figures they are black
- ITA 90mm AA faulty eject direction (W1 helper pivot)
- MG flash bug corrected in most cases but still noticeable sometimes (For example on L3/35 up-left and up-right direction) I try to make scrshot if needed.
- JAP Infantry bad mapping on canteen part
- GER Rifle bad backpack mapping
- GER Engineer bad mapping
- sIG33 Shadow is not generated for some reason
- ITA L3 series are burning in the horizontal direction when destroyed (D0 helper object pivot stuff)
- JAP KD6 KD7 submarines have their deck guns rotating around bad pivot
- Chasseurs Alpins and Chasseurs Ardennes have FOOT movement type but they are mountain inf
- Terrain object $Guard_tower mapping error
- FIN Infantry 1937 and 1938 Veh attk values are swapped, 37 has the bigger
- FIN Hvy 43 Veh def value is missing
- SU-152 breech part not moving with barrel when switching
- Tank turning anim bug (Heavy only?) - in select cases tanks turn their turrets towards each other, but then they turn the hull as well, and the barrel will be also rotated again with the hull. It seems to happen when the models are horizontal (left-right facing), and they need to turn 60degs towards each other. It did happened with medium tanks, it seems only heavies do it now... I try to make scrshot if needed.
- 37mm Bofors AT german - has finnish truck set for transport
- Italian Sub Type 1 - faulty switch to German TypeVII - reported before

Re: Unit Issues 7.1.4
Thanks, Admiral. I'll use a couple of screen shots to transcribe this one over here:
There has to be more Unit Issues in 7.1.4; please list them in this thread.

Re: Unit Issues 7.1.4
- sandstorm effect sometimes appears under unit models, causing them to flicker

Re: Unit Issues 7.1.4
Bruce, as I told Kondi in another thread, the FW190G plane unit's not in the game (yet?). It has the "nopurchase, noeditor" traits.
Re: Unit Issues 7.1.4
The 190G model is missing. I noticed it too late when I had already created a TB-variant for it, so I reused the 190F model for it.
Re: Unit Issues 7.1.4
Here’s one. I noticed that I have the option to purchase Bren Carriers as transport for my German Infantry. I’ve also seen NPC German Infantry Units use Bren Carriers for Transport.

Chasseurs Ardennais are not mountain infantry : https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chasseurs_ArdennaisAdmiral_Horthy wrote: ↑Fri Nov 23, 2018 8:13 pm - Chasseurs Alpins and Chasseurs Ardennes have FOOT movement type but they are mountain inf
"Within the context of military history, the French language term chasseur (literally "hunter") usually denotes light or mounted infantry."
The highest summit of the Ardennes is 694 meters.
In Panzercorps, Chasseurs Ardennais Moves = Leg.
Chasseurs Ardennais should not have skis !

Re: Unit Issues 7.1.4
You are right... they should be like the Bersaglieri, rather a semi-elite "rapid" unit , marginally motorized. Wiki says they had bicycle battalions and tank companies. Definitely not the same of Chasseurs Alpins of the French
As for Finnish "ski-troops" in summertime. They were also called Jaeger, in summer rode bikes and only in wintertime skis.

Re: Unit Issues 7.1.4
- StuG III B, D & E -> no camo in ART position
- Finnish Infantry '42,'43,'44 & '45 : No Panzerfaust in the small picture
- Polish Infantry '44 & '45 : They lost their weapons
- Marder I : not the good icon (Marder II)
- Soviet Heavy Infantry'43 has a bazooka (?) but not in the small picture
- When the Soviet Infantry'43(Jap_Grenade_43 -0.2 0.12) & '44(Jap_Grenade_44 -0.2 0.12) throws a grenade, the rifle begins floating a moment (it is not the case of the Soviet Infantry'41 & '42 (Jap_Grenade_41 -0.2 0.12))
- The Hs 129 should be available at Kursk (In units.csv available from 17/6/1944 !)
- GB Home Guard Icon missing
- The 3D model for the cavalry is not corrected: the rifle is always on the ground
- The 3D model of the Colonial Infantry'41, '43 & '45 (India National Army) does not correspond to the image: there is a British officer on the image

Re: Unit Issues 7.1.4
OOB offers the Hs 129B-3 with the BK 7.5 (75mm) that appeared 44/45. The B-2 that appeared mid 42 had only a 30mm MK 103 or the BK 3.7 (37mm).

Re: Unit Issues 7.1.4
Wow you guys are pretty good! With such community and if OOB was open-source, I'm sure it'd have a lot less issues... We still believe in Adam though! Go Adam!

Re: Unit Issues 7.1.4
In this case, it's a pity that we do not have the Hs 129 B-2
I am not a specialist of the aviation, but the only thing which I know about the Hs 129 it is its use during the battle of Kursk.
Re: Unit Issues 7.1.4
- Zone-of-Control of defensive structures still buggy: http://www.slitherine.com/forum/viewtop ... 59#p748259
- Flying-prediction bug still flying around: http://www.slitherine.com/forum/viewtop ... 37#p748837
However, I’m finally positively surprised that the embarkation-vulnerability vanished which I had posted in the main forum:
http://www.slitherine.com/forum/viewtop ... 64&t=88164
A coastal gun won’t instantly annihilate recently embarked units in transport ships anymore.
Maybe I should better post all issues there with fat flashing letters to notice.

ISU-122 has "mountain" movement type, it should be "tracked" instead.

Subs surface/submerge same turn
Not sure if this is intended or not.
A submerged sub may surface, reveal enemy naval units and submerge in the same turn.
I kind of like it although the sub may spot for ie coastal batteries etc that would otherwise not see the enemy vessels.

Ancient bug: 75mm_feltkanon_m1901_AT has range 4 but should have none in AT-mode.
Re: Unit Issues 7.1.4
Feltkanon is also missing unit switch capability.

UK Special Service units
Not a bug, but I wonder why the British Special Service need resources to perform a sneak attack.
A knife doesn't cost that much
These units have quite low stats in the first place, they fare very badly in regular attacks.
