Crash

Post by HobbesACW »

Hi, I have played OOB for nearly 200 hours on this PC with no problems. I recently did a fresh install from Steam and downloaded Sandstorm and have had two crashes in 30 minutes.
The second when I tried to look at Rommel's unit info. The screen freezes although I can still move the mouse. I have to actually turn off the PC as Task Manager will not pop up.
I just tried it again and it worked fine this time. Is there a log somewhere that might be of help should it happen again?

Cheers,
Chris

Hi, I just had another crash. After about an hour and a half. Not so bad - but worrying as I can't remember a single crash before on the same PC. This time the PC didn't freeze and I got an error message with the location of the logs (attached). I can't remember what I was doing at the time, nothing in particular I think just moving units around but I'm not certain.

Cheers,
Chris

Two saves here 2 minutes apart. Not sure which was the one before the crash.

Thanks for the feedback.

There is work on new content underway, which usually means the release of a patch, but we have no ETA yet.

Hi folks, I thought I should come back to this thread and say that I have played about 30 hours of the game since the crash post without encountering another crash.
Not a good start but all has been well since. Maybe there is something odd in the first scenario or two or maybe I was unlucky with a couple of rare crashes.

Cheers,
Chris

A bit of a coincidence that I thought I've played for hours now without a crash and 5 minutes later the games crashed.
Files attached.

Chris
