Game continues to crash, fails to send crash report.

Post by Degothia »

Running the game through steam.
Running without any mods.
Ran the steam file validation, first time failed, second attempt passed. Later ran this validation again, first time fail, second time pass, this is repeating.
Loaded the game after validation, end the turn, game crashes.
A crash report appears, fails to send, see screen shot.
Playing as Dragon Hold

Unable to play past this point there is an attached screen shot of the crash report and here is the text of the report.

An error has occurred

Please try firstly Step 1 and if the issue still persists try Step 2.

Step 1: Run the game as Administrator

- Right-click the game in your Steam Library.
- Go to Properties, then to the Local Files tab.
- Click Browse Local Files.
- Locate the game executable (the application file).
- Right-click it and go to Properties.
- Click the Compatibility tab.
- Check the "Run this program as an administrator" box.
- Click Apply. Having done this, restart Steam and try launching the game again.

Step 2: Run Steam as Administrator

- Navigate your Steam installation file (By default, it is C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam).
- Right-click the Steam executable.
- Follow the above steps to set it to Run as Administrator.
- Restart Steam.

I guess you did not read my posting of the error log. I have over 30 hours of game play in this title, the game never crashed till this error occurred. If you read the crash file, it has something to do with an npc player somehow getting more than 20 units in a stack that's creating a fatal error (Crash). Now that I have done what you have recommended, the game will not even launch. At this point the error I encountered can occur at any time, and make the game unplayable. If I did not have over 30 hours of game play, I would be requesting a refund through steam, that is why I followed a link from steam for game support.
