GD please post an update on who sets up Challenges, the Challenger or Challenged ?
Thanks.
Just taken a look at the Forum and see that the next move has started with a Hiss & Roar at KiwiLordski.

I am going to post a Challenge at your good self, with the Hats, once I have checked the O'Dilly Method of Engagement.
Happy New Year to all

Happy New Year Brian...normally the challenged sets it up once accepted. I took the liberty setting up the challenge as there's only one option: that's if you accept of course. I would welcome a return challenge for either territories as always.

Spies of the Mad Hatter of Morocco have heard that Lord ahuyton, Lord Protector and King of Every Angle is sending all his knightes and all his gunnes and all his shippes to reclaim his seaside holiday resort in the countrye of Portugal.
He advises the time is ripe to claim Merry old England for the Moslem Brotherhood.

Hence, I dare thee to trial by combat on English soil. I has't hath sent the Teutonic knights in mine stead to square thee if 't be true thee dare accept. [can you tell I found a great Shakespearean translator?]

Challenge: G bin Dodaziz's Teutonic Knights 1494-1542

King: Alas, Fair Gdod, dost thou stoop so low?
This England never did, nor never shall
Lie at the proud foot of a conqueror
Nought availeth but the fight...

Guard: Is this a dagger I see before me?
Why yea, that of the reserve 1494 English knyghtes and billmen and bowment so
Cunningly hid in Burnham Wood.. [Alarum, enter soldiers from stage left]

All setteth, the year 1494 shall wend down in hist'ry! Teuton 1494 vs English 1494, army size medium, terrain pot luck, pw 4england

For our Portuguese excursion, we will stick with the 1494 English.
If TGM selects his defender then I will post the challenge.

GD I will take the Georgians 1494 -1619 against your Teutonics as Russia has access to Georgian troops. ( see your Rules )

The Georgians, 1494 - 1619, will declare War on Morocco and prepare to launch their Invasion.

Indeed it should, I shouldn't read and reply to things in the early hours. Correction below.

At the same time, throughout Western Russia is heard the ominous Moroccan marching tune:
Hurrah! Hurrah! We bring islamic knights unapologetically

Hurrah! Hurrah! With the Morrocan flag that makes you free,

So we sang the chorus from Malbork to the Siberian sea,

While we were marching through Georgia.

Gavin, I think that you need to add your invasion of England to the chart

Thanks Alan, I blame it on moon stroke at midnight and sun stroke during the day. I've also noted Malbork is spelled wrong and Greetings44 "The Grand sultan" is referred to "The Lion cub of the North". I'll change them in the next update. Are you claiming your two unclaimed territories this month? If so, could you pm me before the weekend. Cheers

I would like to attack Poland using Sweden 1676-1679. I claim the Cossack Hetmante.

Following discussion with our esteemed colleague the Lion of the North we have adjusted the army we are invading Persia with to one closer in time, namely German Peasants 1524-1526.

This is the same army we have declared to be invading Malbrok, the battle for which we are still waiting for the Divine Dods to set up.
