Re: 2018 Tournament
As neither army was broken it's a draw. You both score 5 points for having destroyed between 50 and 60%.
Re: 2018 Tournament
I am sorry for the delay but I've been waiting to hear the results of the 2 final battles in Section 3. As I have been unable to obtain them I have reluctantly decided its time to move on to round 2.
Therefore Dilly is the top player in section 3 and will play in section 9 against TheGrayMouser and Gdod
Pixel will play in section 7 against Dobri and Snugglebunnies.

Re: 2018 Tournament
Round 2 is English Civil war armies. Early war Royalist against Parliament, and Late war Royalists against the New Model army.
The sections are;
Section7
player a/ Dobri
player b/ Snugglebunnies
player c/ Pixel
Section 8
player a/ YoungR
player b/ awesum4
player c/ Ahuyton
Section 9
player a/The GrayMouser
player b/ GDod
player c/ Dilly
Section 10
player a/ Aryaman
player b/ Edb1815
player c/ Pantherboy
The top 2 players from each section will advance to round 3. In addition players eliminated will also advance so we have 9 players in the next round. The player will be the one eliminated from the first section to have completed all their games....an extra incentive to get stuck in.

@LFDLM Hope you are alright and are having a enjoyable trip. Safe travels. I hope to be able to finish up my two games with you on a casual basis at some point in the future if you still wish to.
@awesum4: I think I will try to take screenies of the rout percentages before submitting turns just as a percautionary measure so I can still report scores if absolutely necessary even if the game is in the Enemy Turn section.

Re: 2018 Tournament
Snuggles,
yes default is the correct setting.
Pixel,
I'm hoping that all the game will be played a bit faster in this round as I've messaged everyone to say its started and everyone now understands the system. So I wouldn't worry about saving the screenshots at this stage.
Everyone,
I will start another thread about what period we fight in round 3. There are lots of choices.
Thanks,
Andre

Re: 2018 Tournament
SnuggleBunnies (Parliamentarian 45) defeats Dobri_i (Royalist 45) 43-61
A ferocious battle. On my left, flat open ground, well suited for cavalry. On my right, rolling hills, still largely unobstructed. In the center, two hills formed a valley, containing a forest, hedges, and a village. I gradually lost the battle on my left, but its full collapse was only underway at the very end of the battle. In the center, both infantry forces were utterly decimated by exchanges of close range musketry, the Royalists firing from the trees and from atop a hill, my men huddled behind the hedgerows. On the right, the greater numbers of Parliamentarian cavalry, combined with infantry support, saw off the Royalists. This allowed the right wing infantry to swing towards the center, and gradually roll up the Royalist line.
If my left had collapsed a little faster, it could have gone the other way. GG.
And:
SnuggleBunnies (Parliament 42) draws with Dobri_i (Royalist 42) 0-9
Both sides had unassailable defensive positions.

Re: 2018 Tournament
awesum4 (Royalists 1645) beat Ahuyton (New Model) by 48% to 21%, so 8 points to 2.
The battlefield had a stream running right across it. My centre and left were full of enclosures so I massed my cavaliers on the open right flank and advanced rapidly to combat with them and half of my infantry. He attacked aggressively on my left but they were held in the enclosures by only a few of my units. My cavaliers rode over his horse and those that didn't pursue off the field turned into his flanks and rear. A couple of cavaliers left in my centre charged into any his foot that disrupted and the pressure on his outnumbered foot broke his army before his victorious right could get involved
