No way to win on day 1

Post by AP514 »

Even against the computer there is no way to win or even move on to the second day as the Union...

I have player several games as Union and the computer just has too many units. It keeps pounding the Union until they get the VP's to win the first day.

I just can not see a Head to Head play getting any better......

Has anyone actually gotten to the second day as the UNION...hardest AI

I've gotten into Day 2 playing both sides on 2 stars difficulty. Still haven't made it to Day 3 for either side, and I haven't tried 3 stars yet.

The Union needs to be a bit aggressive with I Corps forward of Gettysburg and holding Gettysburg for a while. Also protect the Cav, and use them later on Day 1 to circle back to their initial positions to delay the later Confederates. But yeah, there are a LOT of Rebs and it's a brutal fight regardless.

Difficult to be aggressive if the Confederates get 90% of the movement
