Progress information needed
Progress information needed
No communication here or on Kickstarter.
Some, any really, information is severely overdue. As far as I can tell the latest public announcement is from the 2nd of September.

Re: Progress information needed
HI Meeplebox,
Sorry that we're so quiet on this. We don't want to make announcements on release dates etc until we're 100% sure that we can hit them. I'm hoping to personally have some more news for you soon!
Thanks

Re: Progress information needed
Thank you for the feedback and letting us know that at something is happening out there.
Fully understood you cannot commit to a release date but there is an ocean between that and silence.
The Kickstarter crowd is used to (spoiled? quite possibly ) be informed about the ups and downs, the good and the bad, of the projects that we, as a group, have invested in.

Re: Progress information needed
"Spoiled"? Are you flipping kidding me? We KS backers have every right to show concern when a project goes dark, and I have been screwed more than once by failed KS projects where my money was lost. And though Slitherine is not responsible for the board game part of the campaign, it becomes disconcerting when there is no decent news on either front. Keep in mind, that many KS backers do not come here, so they have a right to be kept in the loop as much as, if not more, than forum members...Meeplebox wrote:Thank you for the feedback and letting us know that at something is happening out there.

Yes, I was indeed "flipping kdding". An attempt at subtle sarcasm, which apparently, was way too subtle
Re: Progress information needed
Shards,
any news?
any news?
Re: Progress information needed
Still dark over at the Kickstarter page with the last update back in September. Personally, I have given up believing that I will see anything for my $75 pledge and so simply added this project to my KS Rip Off list.....
Re: Progress information needed
The one positive I can take from this experience is it has cured me from ever backing another Kickstarter project.
Take the money and run! Wow, Slitherine/Matrix, really expected better from you...

Re: Progress information needed
I honestly do not hold Slitherine/Matrix for the KS debacle because they have nothing to do with the board game part of the KS campaign where the bulk of the money was going towards. Eric Lee Smith, who I once had the greatest admiration as a game designer is the one who shoulders the blame. It would be nice though if someone from Slitherine would chime in with some news of the IOS version at least...DerTroof wrote:The one positive I can take from this experience is it has cured me from ever backing another Kickstarter project.

Wow. I backed this on KS for the iOS version. Forgot about it after it all seemed to die.
My question for Slitherine/Matrix is, will those of us who backed this on KS for iOS get the game, eventually? Hell, I'd take it on PC or iOS, don't care which at this point, but some clarity would be nice.

I backed the iPod/iPhone version. Was not aware there even was a boardgame version planned.Falcon wrote:I honestly do not hold Slitherine/Matrix for the KS debacle because they have nothing to do with the board game part of the KS campaign where the bulk of the money was going towards. Re: Progress information needed
Not only that, but it was almost a year to the day that ELS announced a second board game which was going to be bundled with our Gettysburg: The Tide Turns, and that one was "Pea Ridge: Gettysburg of the West." No backers clamored for this, no one cared about this, all we expected was to receive the original game.DerTroof wrote:I backed the iPod/iPhone version.
