CEAW 4.0 and Windows 10 64

Installed it and stuck on loading screen.
Have latest direct 10
Have compatibility legacy play enabled
Tried in W7, Vista, XP modes and running as administrator.

Tried every screen mode... It is a win 10 64b OS.

I am running Java 32b

Please notice that GS v4.0 is not a stand-alone game. You have to have CEAW v1.12 installed first. Then you add GS v4.0 ontop of CEAW 1.12.

Did you install the GS v4.0 expansion only or the CEAW 1.12 + GS v4.0 bundle?

The GS v4.0 folder location is the same as your CEAW 1.12 root folder location, not a subfolder under CEAW 1.12.

I thought 4.0 was updated to the newest version of Java? Why do I still need to load Java 6 on the Mac? That's not secure.

GS is based upon CEAW 1.12 that was released more than 10 years ago. Then Java 1.4.2 was used. GS v4.0 is just a mod and not a completely new version.

If we had to rewrite the Java code then we could just have made a completely new game. We are allowed to mod the game, not make a new game. So we need to keep the core which is CEAW.

I think there are better game engines around that Java that could have been used to make an up to date CEAW like kind of game.
