Love the game.

Question about earning medals. Seems a bit buggy. For example, for two games in a row I've had six or more active AVRN units at game's end and didn't receive credit for the "Drill Instructor" medal.

I've had similar issues with other medals, where it didn't "take" the first time I achieved it.

Anyone else had this problem?

The one I specifically remember is the Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal (for winning in veteran mode).

I won several times and the star never began to fill up. But it seems to be working now.

The other one is the kills with mechanized unit (can't remember its name). Doesn't seem to ever move for me.

on which version? pc / steam / Ipad etc etc?

After a brief stint in summer I now started to play V65 again and enjoy it a lot. But I agree that the medals/achievements system must be broken. There are a few achievements I should have received but didn't:

• Distinguished Service Medal
• General Staff
• Path Finder

And for at least a few more achievements I noticed that the count is not correct:

• RoV Campaign Medal
• Leader Insignia
• Ordinance Badge
• Foreign Service

This is very frustrating as it takes away a lot of the fun. For what it is worth, I play the game on Steam where the medals are tied to Steam achievements. Would be nice if you guys could look into it.

That's good to hear and much appreciated. I know that ESS must be really busy with the Afghanistan game. And I'm looking forward to playing that as well. But for now it would be nice to play V65 the way it's meant to work

I am fairly sure I missed out on the General Staff medal in the past while meeting the conditions.

Conversely, I obtained the Air Assault badge, a veteran medal, even though I have never played veteran.

i don't think Assault badge is veteran only

In my iPad version of the game, the text for the air assault badge says the following:

"End the game with at least 4 hueys, 1 chinook and 1 cobra (veteran only)."

So if the medal is not veteran only, I assume the text is wrong.

By the way, I am not complaining about this. It is by no means an issue of any concern. I am only pointing out what it says.

as of yet, no one has given any more details or saves for the developer to look at why some work while others don't, as they do for me, so unless some saves come up, have you tried if using steam to disable the steam overlay and retry, as that causes more issues than most in some games so for me should be disabled by default unless someone wishes to use it etc

I have not tried to disable the Steam overlay yet. I could try that. But this is the first time that somebody asks for savegames. The only thing we heard from you is that the "commander" is on it. If the developers need saves to look at the problem you could have communicated that alreayd last year. So where do I send a savegame then?

I play with PC/steam and I found out...

... that you have to play with 'Normal' or 'Veteran' for most of the achievements.
With 'Custom' some achievements dont' work like
game or victory counter and rank points. Air Assault Badge I got also with 'Normal'.

I think it's intended, as achievments can be very easy, meaning nothing, if you play Custom with all cursors down.
