If by any mischance the server team don't delete it, you should be able to remove it yourself after it has been inactive for the week.

I now have at least half a dozen games that are unplayable every time I go in it goes to the deployment screen and then say that I have won (even though nothing has happened) then it just stick in a loop until i go to task manager & kill the game.
it is extremely frustrating for both myself & my opponent. We have both uninstalled & reinstalled the game but it appears to have made no difference and the problems still persist. also I am unable to delete any of the games. I would appreciate it if this issue can be fixed

Hi Manstein. In order to track down and fix this issue, we need some additional information.

Are these games being played with Pike and Shot: Campaigns, or with the original Pike and Shot?

Are you playing on PC or iPad?

If either of you are playing on the PC, please can you post the error.log file from immediately after the problem occurs. (You need to do this before the game overwrites it, which it will do if you restart the program)

If using Pike and Shot, you will find it in: /Documents/My Games/PIKEANDSHOT

If using Pike and Shot: Campaigns, you will find it in: /Documents/My Games/PSCAMP

To my knowledge both games are being played on PC I will look but there is to be no error message being sent it just goes from deployment to victory screen and loops until I kill the game. Forgot to add that we are playing the campaigns version (at least I am I will check with my opponent)

Thanks. I suspect that the stated error is not related to the issue you are having.

The usual reason for this sequence of in-game messages to occur is if one side's army has not been initialised correctly, so it has no units on the map. This is usually due to the challenge data having a name string for the army list which does not match the "chunk name" in the army list file.

Obviously this should not happen, unless either player is using a modded army list file. (And both are not using the same modded version, from start to finish).

Can you tell me which were the army lists specified as having "lost" in each of these battles, and which skirmish module they are from?

Also, if you have not modded the ArmyList.txt file in any way, could you please check that your opponent hasn't.

See the other thread for further possibilities.

Post by Manstein63 »

We are not using any modded army lists just the ones in the standard Pike & Shot Campaign all games have very large force size
not sure about which side wins or loses but the six games where this has happened are between the following armies
Spanish 1635-48 v German Protestant 1639-48
Polish 1635-48 v Ottoman Turks 1630-48
German Protestant 1639-48 v Spanish 1635-48
French 1550-59 v Spanish Imperial 1543-59
Polish 1618-32 v Ottoman Turks 1618-29
French 1635 - 42 v German Catholic 1632-38
terrain varies as well
Agricultural
Hilly
Wooded

hope this is of use

I posted on the same problem, maybe I should add that in our game the force chosen was also 'very large'.

The "Very Large" army size might possibly be the issue. Has this happened with any battles that are not "very large"?

I set up the Ottoman vs Russian matchup that ahuyton reported (in the other thread), and I noticed that neither side got any units to purchase. This is because both armies reached the 64 unit limit (including artillery limbers) that is the maximum that the STUB engine allows.

This means that either or both sides probably won't get their full points worth of troops and hence the armies won't have equal points.

I am not sure how this could cause the issue you are having, but I would recommend playing Large battles rather than Very Large to avoid hitting the maximum units issue.

Hopefully this may fix the other issue, but if not, we will have to look into it further.

Thanks, I'll do that. In any case, I prefer the smaller sized battles.

And, no, it has not happened in any other size battles so indeed maybe that is the issue.

I too have had this issue in Multiplayer - Random Map Battle against: clausml

Bohemian Revolt vs Imperial German 1618 / custom size 800 pts

I chose my army - then didn't even get to the deployment phase- the system simply said the game was over I had lost

Guys, if this happens again, please could you post your error.log file from /Documents/My Games/PSCAMP.

You need to do this immediately after the error, without restarting the game, otherwise the file will get overwritten.

What we are looking for is server messages.
