Think it might have been an idea to leave an element of Russian armour in the scenario to give the panzers something to worry about as there untouchable now ? One of if not the best AI maps I've played looking forward to the next instalment

Bloody hell that next map looks incredible.
Agree with @glenghiscan that the Russian armour is a good balance on first map. Might even add some armour to rear of map too!

Started playing the scenario. Very enjoyable!

Managed to take the railway station and the flag to the east. Noticed that the Katjusha tends to bombard Soviet positions, first the railway station, then the objective east of it before I had taken them. Very comfortable service!

Greetings from Portugal. Im a huge fan of BA and BA2, and been following your work in Scenary design and new campaigns ( great job you all, thanks ). Im having trouble in downloading the Stalingrad file in BA2 ( PC ). After 10 seconds the game just freezes and crash. Is there any other link/alternative to try ? Thanks

Awesome work (using your Stalingrad map for the multiplayer league final). Thanks very much for your efforts.

Have fun with ;-)

If you modify them beware the large building (several tiles) have not the right terrain type and the cover! Use the invisible_building object on Stalingrad category to correct that ;-)

Great stuff as usual, Amaris.

Slogged my through the Map 2 in the new carryover campaign - managed to take all the VP's but then got absolutely creamed in Map 3 despite destroying 12 T34's (how many are there in there in there?). Can't see any chance of making it to final Map 4. So many Russians - how the heck can you take them all out AND retake every VP, with flamethrowers and sappers waiting for you at every stage? Would have to bring forward nearly every earlier unit and have massive luck. Perhaps Map 3 also needs some heavier scheduled reinforcements (bunch of Stug 3's?) plus engineers and lots of heavy equipment?

Map 3 does give you a sense of the futility of the German effort - expending unit after unit to make scrappy inch by inch progress, then annihilation when hit by waves of seemingly endless Soviet counterattacks. Lugging about my precious 75mm to repel tank attacks reminded me of the movie Stalingrad. Seeing the last member of my remaining scout unit almost make it through to a VP only to be greeted by a flamethrower, T34 and sapper unit was the last straw...

Few tweaks to give me a chance to get to the final map?

Yeah probably too much Russian troops!

Just for know, how many squads / tanks have you at this time?

My only advice is to keep alive as many troops as possible!

Before the next version with some balance correction, you can use the debug mode (USER.TXT file: DEBUGMODE 1) and use the CTRL+W key tio have a debug victory and go to the next battle ;-)

Upcoming map : the Gumrak Airport

OK great.

By Tractor factory Pt 2 (after taking all VP's in Part 1 and then having to win them back in Part 2!) I only had 160 points to select the two AT guns so couldn't afford anything else so no extra Stugs or AV's. (maybe ramp this to 500? + add more options - engineers, MG's, Pz IV's?).

I had carried-over:
5 units of infantry
1 scout
1 MG
Pzr IVD
251 AV with 75mm
15cm Artillery
Truck
and that's it.

Next map looks awesome too! Folks would pay money for these mods - they are amazing.

UPDATE - retried this (changed to easiest difficulty level) and whattaya know; managed to take all VP's on Map 3. Use of artillery and air plus some very lucky breaks.

Been meaning to provide feedback, Amaris after finally making it through the entire series so far. Most out of whack is the last few levels before Gumrak - I counted ~50 T34's (!) and endless hordes of troops. However, it IS just beatable on basic difficulty with lots of carry-over resources and careful deployment and protection of heavy weapons. It really is a great series of encounters, and even Gumrak can be beaten with the right placement and enough carryovers. If you wanted to provide something meaty that requires serious effort over multiple replays, this is your campaign. And you can then bump up the difficulty to replay at harder levels.

Are there anymore in the series, Amaris?

Great stuff...

If the url has expired then it could be trying to send the game bad data. Perhaps someone who has it could repost.

Cheers
