Battlestar Galactica..."Run-Away-To-Live & Fight-Another-Day":...'Wish-Full-Thinking'.
In the 'Original Series' the Galactica Fleet reached Earth (Fabled 13th Colony) and successfully made contact with the inhabitant's, in the Follow-Up Series...Earth appeared to be a scorched desolated Nuclear Wasteland, indicating that ManKind was completely hopeless, a guaranteed lost cause!.
Perchance, if this game follows the original theme of the show and the 12 Colonies of Kobal are destroyed forcing the Galactica Fleet to flee, where-upon they search for the Lost Colony, why-not make a change in the previous fatalistic storyline & instead have the fleet come to an Earth that is still intact. Adama could convince the inhabitant's of Earth after explaining the Cylon-Threat to them of what they can do to help out in trying to turn around the dire situation.
With their Technological know-how, and recent understandings of Cylon capabilities (Including weaknesses that could be exploited with new innovative Military Technologies) that the Galactica Fleet has now come to realize that is necessary, that they could quickly (Say in a matter of slightly more than a decade retrofit Earth's Industrial & Science Base as well as the Military so that they could in-fact reconstitute a more capable fleet of confronting the Cylon's and then take the WAR back to them!.
