Personally I'm more interested in the medieval times than the earliest civilizations. Would there really be meaningful differences between the various armies in the Swifter than Eagles setting? From what little I have read about the pre-greek ancient warfare it seems to be nothing but ox/pony-chariots, light infantry, maybe little heavy infantry and a lot of pure conjecture.
