Order of Battle: World War II - v8.0.4 is available
Order of Battle: World War II - v8.0.4 is available but I'm not sure if it should be. I have a steam version and the new DLC is accessible via the game interface. Only first missions, though. The content seems to be unfinished as many UI texts are missing. Is this intentional?

This publish was probably a mistake. 8.0.4 is still in beta and the Red Star testing has just begun.
Re: Order of Battle: World War II - v8.0.4 is available
My Steam-Version also has updated to 8.0.4 beta! ...and it's doing fine!!
So as it is a beta, here some feedback:
- gfx-problems occuring after 7.1.8 seem all to be fixed! Everything looks fine again!
- first mission of RED STAR (The Changkufeng/Lake Khasan incident of 1938) is playable!
- several (english) UI-txts are still only templates
So for me please don't roll back to 7.1.8!

Order of Battle: World War II PC Update v7.1.8 is the official last version listed on Matrix Site (as of 7/14 8:20a est)
Personally I don't download Beta versions unless I'm doing Beta Testing. But if it works for you great.

I'm a Steam user and got the Red Star first mission in error. Whilst teh devs will likely be livid, this is probably teh best PR they coyuld have got, The game exp played very well and was such fun, now I'm really looking forward to the Soviet campaign, plays very differently.
Re: Order of Battle: World War II - v8.0.4 is available
Unfortunately I can't sort out the prob behind it as I only deal with the design part, but it looks indeed like it should not be available that way, since the Soviet DLC is still in beta stage. As for the 1st mission, well, these are always free. So let's take this is some kind of extended preview...Mojko wrote: ↑Sun Jul 14, 2019 3:44 am Order of Battle: World War II - v8.0.4 is available but I'm not sure if it should be. Yes, uhm, great that our, uh, strategy has worked out. The weeks of marketing meetings are paying dividends now. Totally planned that way. Genius. High five all around.steevodeevo wrote: ↑Sun Jul 14, 2019 2:57 pm I'm a Steam user and got the Red Star first mission in error. Steam has an unwelcome habit of updating our games/sims whether we want it to or not, but luckily I bought my OOB and its DLC direct from Matrix/Slitherine. I don't think I'll buy anything from Steam again.
PS- anyway, download times of Steam games/sims are horrendous (for me at least), for example I bought X-Plane 11 from Steam last week and it took 11 hours to download!

For the record 5 minutes ago when I clicked on "Check for update" at my (non-Steam) OOB splash screen it said "You already have the latest update" (which is 7.1.8 ).
Re: Order of Battle: World War II - v8.0.4 is available
My steam version has been rolled back to 7.1.8. Back to the ugliness.
Re: Order of Battle: World War II - v8.0.4 is available
You really don't want to play with a steam beta version if you're not participating in the beta.
It means your multiplayer games won't work anymore.

Hopefully it will betatested quickly ... I was happy without ugliness
