We have prepared something special for you. Endsieg has a branching dynamic campaign tree which means that the outcome of battles or managing to fulfill certain optional objectives will affect the campaign later on.

We have drawn an infographic to show you how the system works!

The arrows connecting specific scenarios mean that the result in one scenario affects the other

It's rather a pole than a tree in my eyes.
So you have to play soft during Moscow 44 to experience all content but have to skip one scenario if you play too good. Eh, dunno...
At least you don't have to smash hundreds of T-34 until the bitter end.

Yes, that does seem rather strange, doesn't it? If you don't do absolutely great in Russia, your penalty/reward is a trip to sunny Italy! If you do well there, we'll transfer you back to France. At least you don't have to go back to Russia (unless you are defeated at some point, of course). :)

EDIT: Actually, the more I think about it, the more it seems this might be in error. That is, knowing that there is an additional scenario to play in this DLC, one would be incentivized to NOT fulfill all secondary objectives in Vyazma or Moscow so as to play it? And then, what, a minor victory in Anzio means the end of the campaign? That does not make sense. Of course, we need to wait until it's released to see how Endsieg will actually play out and whether this campaign branch actually does make sense.

EDIT 2: Heh, I'm overthinking this as I do with everything else. But, if a major victory in Vyazma leads directly to Moscow whereas a minor victory goes to Anzio, then a major victory there goes to Falaise, does that mean one never plays Moscow? :?

Unless there are late changes I'm not aware of the path is:

Vyazma major > Moscow major (= "Win in Russia") > Falaise

Vyazma minor > Anzio > Falaise, no Moscow, no "Win in Russia".

Well, thank goodness for #gimmeall! 8) Which will still work with Endsieg, I hope. :?

It's a pity that it is necessary to badly play to have the only scenario in Italy of the campaign :

- Vyazma major > Moscow (major = "Win in Russia") > Anzio > Falaise

- Vyazma minor > Anzio > Falaise (no Moscow, no "Win in Russia")

This is gonna be a good DLC for sure.
I like how Aachen and Huertgenwald are included. Most games always skip over those and go straight to the Ardennes but those are two very important battles and the participants deserve credit.

I wish you could add in the Lorraine counteroffensive and the defense of Metz against Patton. I've never seen Lorraine in a game and only seen Metz once in a game (Battle Academy).

I won Moscow in 30 turns not 28 but I miss Anzio and get directly Falaise... how can I play Anzio? I have not conquer Moscow??

You get to Anzio via Vyazma, not Moscow (Moscow would be too late, date-wise).

Vyazma minor victory is what brings you to Anzio.

Edit: there seems to be a mistake in the pic posted in the OP, the broken line linking Moscow and Anzio should not be there.

Ahh, I have to correct myself:

You do not go from Vyazma to Anzio.

It's from Novgorod, minor victory.

Novgorod is Jan 44, Anzio Feb 44, and Vyazma and Moscow are later.

Sorry for the confusion.

Just to clear things up (or make them even murkier :) ):

Down through Zhitomir, the campaign tree is following its usual linear pattern. Reading the boxes from left to right, Major Defeat, Minor Defeat, and Draw all lead to Campaign Defeat. Minor Victory and Major Victory go to Novgorod:

Novgorod is where the detour begins. A Major Defeat still means Campaign Defeat, but Minor Defeat, Draw, and Minor Victory (the equivalent of "inconclusive battle results" perhaps) lead to Anzio. Major Victory skips Anzio in favor of Vyazma:

Now Vyazma is strange in that one cannot lose. No matter what happens, you are going to Falaise next except if you score a Major Victory in which case, you go to Moscow:

Screenshot 2.jpg
Screenshot 2.jpg (185.84 KiB) Viewed 11563 times

And Moscow is a no-brainer; no matter what you do, your next stop is Falaise!

Screenshot 3.jpg
Screenshot 3.jpg (168.71 KiB) Viewed 11563 times

What about Anzio? It seems to resume the normal linear pattern:

Screenshot 6.jpg

Which is continued by Faiaise and on down the line to the conclusion:

Screenshot 4.jpg

So to summarize, at Novgorod (not Vyazma) there begins this detour to Anzio which bypasses Vyazma and Moscow unless you achieve a Major Victory at Novgorod. Even then, only a Major Victory at Vyazma will allow you to play Moscow, otherwise you go to Falaise. Moscow is like a free pass; win or lose, you're going to Falaise.

Whoever made the graphic above should correct it.

What’s “Allied at Salerno” in bru888 screenshot?!? A phantom scenario?!? An anticipation of next allied dlc?!?

It's a campaign event (popup) that comes up at the campaign screen, not as usual in the midst of a scenario
