Windows 8 Direct X Error when starting game

I get an error when trying to run the game that Dircect X 9 dll is not found. Windows 8 has a newer version of direct x of course, is this game compatible with Windows 8?

I downloaded and ran the Direct X web downloader from Microsoft, looks like it installs older versions of Direct X

Can't put the URL in but do a search for the above and you should find it.

The problem is it keeps changing so any link we put would soon be out of date as we'd probably not notice and lead people to a bad file.

The game comes with the version of DX you require though so it should not require anything else. Try installing the game again and make sure you agree to install DX and see if that helps?

Or you can open the folder where the game is installed, locate and open a folder named "redist" and run "DXSETUP.exe".
