c++ and display problems

Hello,

I wnat to play GaW at Win8 Pro 64 bit. I´ve got at the installation the c++-Warning (newer version...).

After installation i can start the program but the mouse is behind the screen. If I have it on the right position I can click a button.

In the tutorial the user interface is blurry so I can´t identify the Symbols on the buttons.

Can you help me?

Hello,

from the screenshot it definitly looks like a mipmapping error. It could have its origin in a wrong setting of the driver or lacking memory on the graphics card side.

Could you provide the games logs ? They can usually be found here:

C:\Users\YourName\AppData\Local\Germany at War

With those logs its easier for us to determine the cause and it would be best if you could supply all of them.

As to the mouse, try to get to the options and change to windowed mode - this might bring the mouse cursor back.

Please let us know if it worked.

Mouse-problem ist fixed with window-mode, but ther is a message at start (see attachment

Hello Jenner68,

we would need all the logs in that folder - could you please pack and attach them ?

Ok, that screenshot explains a lot as mouse trails and GaW do not get along well.

Did you choose to deaktivate them during the game ? This should solve the problem even in fullscreen without any harm. Mouse trails should work normal after you leave the game.

I´ve deinstalled it on my notebook and installed it on my PC at home. Then I´ve deactivated the checkboxes to install directX and c++. Now I have no problems with the game. Thanks for helping.
