The Tournament is playing single scenarios against another human player, starting in Poland, then moving to Norway against another opponent, and so on, till only one remains.

Re: Panzer Corps Tournament 2018
New Report!
After an exciting weekend of steady sign ups coming in we are officially at 69 sign ups for this great Tournament.
This makes so very happy as this is already more than the entire sign up for last years tournament which was already a record setter.
It also leaves me super hopeful that we will get at least 100 by February 2nd.
With that said, this is where the people who have signed up can help.
Hopefully all of you are now practicing and setting up open games on Multiplayer to hone your skills. (An open game is set up by leaving the area blank where you can type in a password)
Well when you are playing your various opponents, tell them about this Tournament and ask them to sign up.
If everyone of the current contestants just got one other person to sign on we would more than double last years participation.
That would be beyond my wildest dreams. I am hoping for at least 100, but to get 128 or more would be world shattering.
So you as a contestant help make the earth shatter, by connecting with the community and getting them to sign up for this torunament.
Thanks and as always...Stay Lutheran My Friends.

Re: Panzer Corps Tournament 2018
Ok I am getting questions a lot on how to set up a multiplayer game so I am posting here and on the home page of the forum.
So you Open Panzer Corps.
Click on multiplayer:
Type in your user name and password, and I pressed remember password so I never have to do it again.
press log in
This will take you to a page where it displays Multiplayer and right below it 3 tabs
The 1st Tab is Current Games, since this is your first time you will not have any current, but hopefully this will fill up quickly;)
It is the 2nd and 3rd tab that you will be playing around with.
The 2nd Tab is Issue a challenge:
click on that and than go down and press the Issue a challenge button.
A screen will come up, mine is on the regular Panzer Corps Screen so it has those maps up and the first one displayed are the Balanced Maps: Spoils of War
You should scroll down and find the Historical (unbalanced) Maps:
Click on Poland
Press the Play Button
This brings up the Game Options Screen
Here you Pick Paired Game, I play by deselecting undo off,
It has spaces for you to fill in a password, leave it blank
It has space to type a description:
I would type newbie and undo off.
This will start giving you practice for the Tournament.
Blessings on your endeavors.
The 3rd Tab is accept a Challenge
So you Open Panzer Corps.
Click on multiplayer:

Questions per Multiplayer Games:
I notice one does not have access to the Advanced Settings per a multiplayer game.
So what does the game default to.
Games Rules? 1.14 or 1.20
Combat Dice? Normal, Limited (Dice Chess), or None (Chess)
Is Weather, Supply, Fog of War, & Undo left on?
Also, is the 1.31 Sub Hotfix patch being used?
Thank you for the answers.

The games are played on whatever version you have so version 1.30 for most players.eddieballgame wrote:Questions per Multiplayer Games:

Always Normal
and settings after that are based on how you set them up on that screen detailed above

Re: Panzer Corps Tournament 2018
Sorry to be dense, but your answer is not clear. By 'Normal' you mean the dice, right as there is no option to adjust this in an online mp game. ( there is in a 'hotseat' game, however ) The 1.31 patch can be used? Per the Weather, Supply, Fog of war, & Undo buttons...this is up to the player setting up the game or is there a standard rule per this tournament?

You asked About Combat Dice: You asked if it was Normal, Limited Dice, or Chess.
I said it is Normal, so...
We will be playing with undo off. (Makes it more like a real war.)
The rest will all be normal (standard) settings.

Thank you for some clearing up, I am ok with any settings. First tournament...just want everything to be clear, per the rules in use. The 1.31 patch is also valid, thank you again.

Re: Panzer Corps Tournament 2018
Quick Update:
Ok we are one week in and we have 81 registered players for this Tournament.
That is right, you read that correctly:
81
This is so amazing and brings sheer joy to my middle aged heart...
This community is just amazing and the advertising and word of mouth is doing the trick, as the people signing up just keeps coming.
I will be shocked now if we do not reach 100, I even think doubling last years participation, which would be 128 is well within reach.
Just amazing.
Thanks everyone for the enthusiasm and the kind words and just everything...
Blessings
