I use the steam version and was able to accept the surrender and play the next turn without problem.

In this case, that turkey as entente member is not intended we restart our game and also try to use different choises in the events.

Now that we tried a second time the game crashed. It would have been my 7th turn as the CP. The game crashed during the replay phase. The screen moves to the english channel after a few unit moves and then its over.

We both use the steam version.

My opening move was Schlieffens Legacy.

France, Britain, Belgium (surrenderd) and Russia joined Entente.
Germany joined CP.

My friend said, that a british unit (the one that spawns at Calais) appeared and disappeared the next turn. I took Calais in the meanwhile during this two turns.

This are the last few lines in the document. I hope this is correct.

Thanks. Seems like multiplayer replay might have a problem with units getting spawned by events during a turn then.

@Argentum: the match with me as CP has fallen victim to the replay crash bug.
The crash happens right after when the Belgrade unit attacks the AH unit commanded by Potiorek to the north of Belgrade.

Did you play either the "Gallieni to defend Paris" and/or "Paris Taxis" event?

Okay.
The game did NOT crash when Goeben BC and French Army of Africa were spawned when Germany/France were still inactive.
So spawning units during a turn seems to be only a problem in MP, when the nation is active.

@Argentum: but you did spawn "French Foreign Legion" a turn before and the game continued. I wonder why.

I think game crash only if enemy saw spawning units on his replay.

Okay, fixed that for the future.

You might be right about unit spawning in LOS by events is causing trouble in replay. Here's the situation at the start of my turn:

In vanilla CTGW all "emergency unit" spawns are executed at the START of a turn, so they don't cause trouble.
This of course means that all choice-events in PotzBlitz that spawn units will have to be changed so that the units will appear later and maybe too late to be of any use.

@Argentum: in the game with me as Entente I've played Foreign Legion and fell victim to "Attaque a outrance", let's see if the game remains stable.

Please write down any events you are playing for further analysis.

I played Wilhelm Groener and Crown Prince. Kaiser's gold can be played only on turn 1?

*EDIT*

"Kaiser's Gold" can be played as long as:

1. Entente player has not played "DELIVER BRITISH DREADNOUGHTS"

2. Germany has not joined the war: turn 3

If "Kaiser's Gold" will be included in the event choice is random as long as other valid events are still available.

So, if you WANT to play that event, play it as soon as you see it, it will unlock the "Goeben BC" event in turn 1. Else the "Goeben BC" event might only be available in turn 2.
Entente player may have played "DELIVER BRITISH DREADNOUGHTS", denying the Goeben BC entry to the Dardanelles. This will delay Ottoman war entry a lot!


I would write up a new full summary of how the events interact, if I'd knew there would be more people interested in it because it's a LOT of work.

There ARE people interested ! I know a few myself! A summary goes a big way towards making the game more beginner-friendly, as the amount of options and the difficulty to perceive their exact impact on the game is daunting for some (especially in their reluctance to play against a more seasoned player or to spend countless hours playing solo first just to figure it all out)

@Zombo: always nice to hear about those reinforcements to the CTGW fanclub. Argentum's notion about event-linked spawning of units in enemy LOS causing trouble might be the breakthrough we are waiting for.

I have another bug. Victory at Tannenberg was activated but I don't got Hindenburg.

@Argentum: you issued 4 challenges, who took the other two? Are there any problems going on in those matches?
