Looks good. Paper not as glossy as V 1. My cover had a slightly bent corner. Saves me the trouble of dropping it myself. Back pages could be removed to create Quick Reference Cards. I might do this and get them laminated, thereby destroying the resale value of the book, but making it much more handy to use. Language cleaned up in many sections, but some sections maintain wording that will spark many table discussions. Battlewagons NOT given own section! Too bad. Its a pain to try to figure out the exact rules that apply or are ignored when employing these weapons. I say this because in Version One, the FAQ effectively superceded the rules for Battlewagons in the rulebook. In Version Two, the rules remain the same, but do not support the V1 FAQ interpretation. One major complaint is the wording of the placement of ambushes. What does halfway across the table mean? Does it mean up to the center of the table or half way past the centerline?
Now go buy it yourself and make your own judgements.

Mine arrived yesterday. Similar to others, the edge of the cover of mine was dented due to poor packaging. The quality is pretty similar to V1 - in fact I think you'd struggle to tell the difference without comparing them side by side.

Got mine as well. Nice looking book but I would also like to add that it had some shipping damage - bent corners.

Guys please, common sense says that books need to be shipped in a box or at least with a cardboard liner.

In another thread JD has acknowledged that there may have been packing issues. If you send JD details direct he will investigate.

Mine arrived looking very pretty. At first glance it is everything that one could ask. I will look at it more seriously after the US Team tournament.

Sorry for the delay - the initial print run has sold out and we are waiting for the 2nd print run to arrive. We're hoping to receive stock next week and ship ASAP after that.

If you hit the "shop" link at the top left of this website and then field of glory book store, it should be available there.

Where are you based? Might be worth having a wander to your nearest club / gaming store to speak to fellow enthusiasts.
