Nicon is coming up in a month, so time to complete your registrations.

Army lists are due by the 18th. Because of the plague of lateness last time I was a list checker, I will be penalising players who don't send a correct list on time.

I don’t want to deduct competition points (because we don’t want the competition being decided by someone’s paperwork being late), but do want to have some incentive to get lists in on time.

Basically it will work like this – someone with a correct list sent on time is allowed to re-roll one dice in the terrain placing sequence against anyone with a late list. Anyone with a late list gets a terrain re-roll against someone with an even later list, so there’s still an incentive for late lists not to be the last one in. Of course, none of this will apply if all lists are on time!

We had a tremendously good tournament last weekend. Brett achieved the remarkable result or scoring 100 points in four games.

1 Brett Preston-Thomas Army of the Tyrolean Revolt 1809 (100 points)
2 Kit Goldsbury Anglo-Netherlands Army in Belgium 1815 (64)
3 Kendall Blue Prussian Army Corps Spring 1813 (64)
4 Mike Haycock French Corps D’Armée 1814 (53)
5 Al Donald Anglo-Portuguese 1809-10 (49)
6 Steve Eyles French Army in Spain 1810-12 (45)
7 Lawrence Antill Allied Army in Spain and France 1812-14 (43)
8 Kieran Mahoney Russian Infantry Corps, Army of the West 1812 (40)
9 Philip Abela German Confederation 2nd Corps 1814 (25)
10 Rich Hornell French Allied Contingents 1805-1807 (17)

The award for the best painted army was decided by the votes of all players. It was a difficult choice with so many well-painted armies on display.

Best Painted Army
1st Lawrence Antill Allied Army in Spain and France 1812-14
2nd Brett Preston-Thomas Army of the Tyrolean Revolt 1809
3rd Rich Hornell French Allied Contingents 1805-1807
