Afternoon all.
Any idea what "Technology Espionage" is/will be? I can't find anything about it in the Changelog that accompanied the upgrade zip.

pretty sure this is where "spies" give you tech advances over and above where you have labs invested - as an example you might find the UK getting very small ARM improvement even though they might not have invested in labs

Espionage means you get some tech advancement if other countries have a higher tech Level than you have. The further behind the bigger bonus. If you're not at war or don't have any labs in that Tech area the bonus is halved. Industry and organization are Techs you can't get bonuses on via espionage.

The purpose is to allow left behind countries to Catch up a bit With Techs. E. g. Italy can get some armor Techs even without investing in armor labs. Same for Russia With naval Tech.

So if you're Ahead on Tech you will only be able to use that advantage for some time. Other countries will Research that Tech faster once they are behind.
