P.S. My point about the Persian gar is that IMO they contribute in a real way to making the Middle East pretty much out of the question for Axis. I was just nostalgic for earlier days when going for the oil fields was still a viable strategy.

I would be delighted to trial 4.0 as a zip if Slitherine approve.

When I play the Axis, about one game in four I go for Persia and usually succeed. Which is not to say that I win the game, but that I establish a credible threat to Baku. It seems a viable strategy to me.

We are making a final review version now. It might be the PC version will be made available as a help yourself download to upgrade from GS v3.10 to GS v4.0. Later Slitherine will make a proper installer. I hope a download version can be done before Christmas. Pk867 will have to post if the same can be done for a MAC version.

I might need a guinea pig or two where I can send a link to where files are with some instructions. Then you can try to install GS v4.0 and then we will see how hard it is to install. If it goes smoothly we can extend to others.

Please send me a PM with you email address so I can send the link with information about how to install. Remember that you need to copy the existing CEAW file structure to a different location so you have a backup in case adding the files don't go well.

NB: Unlike VPaulus, I do not create desktop shortcuts.
I open JSGME directly in the root of the game where I installed it.
In my case :Military History Commander - Europe at War Gold

Hi Paul,

I downloaded the file GS V4.00.rar
I unzip this file to a temporary file.
This gives a GS V4.00 directory
I always use GME to install (and uninstall my mods)
I open the GS V4.00 directory
It contains a GS V4.00 subdirectory
This GS V4.00 subdirectory must be copied to the Mods directory (created by GME during the first use) in the directory Military History Commander - Europe at War (in my case)
The unnecessary directory may need to be removed in order to avoid confusion for the neophyte users of GME.
I activate the GS 4.00 mod and that's it!
