So when PZc2 comes out will you be converting any of your old but excellent mod scenarios to the new visual/graphic style in pz2? but keeping the basic scenario the same?
OR
Would you only do new mod scenarios.
(McGuba ?
Thanks.

Re: Question for mod scenario designers
That was interesting.
The reason I asked that question was; having looked at the available video of Pzc2 available I am pleasantly surprised at the visual quality (," surprised albeit from very low expectations!, as I thought it would be awful as per historical turn based) so IFF when it is delivered I would to try some of my favourite Pzc1 mod scenarios/campaigns with the new type look. Of course in a perfect world there would be a prog to convert but I think it will end up only happening if the old mod scenario/campaign developers converted them.

Re: Question for mod scenario designers
It seems the Scenario Editor shall include the import option, so PzC1 mods could be converted to PzC2. Of course they will require a lot of work anyway, but I think nothing we cannot handle in the future.
Personally I expect to convert Eastern Front Soviet Storm to PzC2, and of course add new stuff to it.
Best regards,
Akkula.

Re: Question for mod scenario designers
On the conversion topic: I guess converting maps is one thing while converting entire mods might be a whole other thing...
I am very curious to see how they will handle the conversion of scripts and AI zones... i.e. will these concepts still exist in the same way as they did in PzC1...

Re: Question for mod scenario designers
About the import option in the Scenario Editor, convert unaltered scenarios maybe but very doubtful about converting mods
Re: Question for mod scenario designers
Still the scenario edition is the 80% of the workload of any mod. The rest is just a matter of time to learn... maybe the 3d thing for new units will require a lot of effort from us.
So the conversion option will help us to ease most of job at the time of adapt our mods to PzC2.

Akkula.

Re: Question for mod scenario designers
In my opinion it will not be possible to convert PzC1 scenrios to PzC2 that easily. Even if all the tools will be provided. Mainly because it looks like PzC2 will bring lots of game mechanic changes and PzC1 scenarios were not created with these in mind. So even if one fully converts a PzC1 screnario to PzC2, it will play very differently.
