I extract the files for the afrika corps extended but i cant seem to find the installation of afrika corps to overwrite. where exactly are the afrika corps files that i overwrite?. I have all the other games/dlc's and i dont want to overwrite any of those. thanks for info

Afrika Korps Extended.

Afrika Korps - extended.rar

Includes a new opening scenario with the three suggested heroes, also in German language. In second mission you can purchase and deploy the units of your preference.

For now only a small zip file, the complete package will be available as soon as i have finished all AK scenarios.

You can use JSGME MOD Enabler, please read this post:

thank you for your reply but i do not wish to use JGME. all other mods i have used (including the GC39 mod) by overwriting the relevant files. Is this mod for use with JGME ONLY?

Hell no.
The Afrika Korps scenario files are located in the Panzer Corps\Data folder, the campaign.pzdat file as well.
As i wrote before, i made a back-up of the Panzer Corps\Data folder before overwriting scenario files and the campaign file by their revisioned versions.

Maybe in the Oslo scenario in GC39 you could change the name of the ship you have to save from "KMS Blücher" to "Blücher". German ships at that time had no such prefixes.

I'm not going to change the names of the German ships in the Oslo mission, because it is going to break the victory conditions; this is not the intention of this revision.

Sad. That`s a bit hard to understand. You remade the first scenario from scratch. But giving the ship it`s correct name would break the Oslo scenario?
It`s ok though if it`s simply not possible. I thought it`s just about deleting the three letters.

KMS has been removed, also from the auxiliary ships.
Could someone play and let me know if a decisive outcome (Blücher is not destroyed) is still working.

I tested it. DV is still possible. The scenario works fine except for that annoying slowdown bug. But that`s another problem.
I don`t remember that other ships had that "KMS" too. But thanks for removing it.

What should "KMS" stand for anyway? As I don`t know this prefix. Ships of the German Empire had "SMS" which equals the British "HMS". And ships of the Third Reich had no prefix at all.

I guess it is kind of made up. "KM" stands for "Kriegsmarine" (literally "War Navy"), the German Naval branch of the Wehrmacht. The "S" stands for "Schiff" (= ship), as in SMS ("Seiner Majestät Schiff" = His Majesty's Ship). Somebody thought he could glue those two together to make a new abbreviation. To my knowledge, the German ships of WW2 did not have any such prefix, as Ralle has correctly stated. I'm not even sure if "KM" was an official abbreviation: In "OKM" (= "Oberkommando der Marine"; High Command of the Navy), the "K" stands for "Kommando", not for the "Kriegs-" prefix. So it seems correct to get rid of "KMS" altogether.
