Panzer Corps US Corps 44-45 #2 Pointe du Hoc Start to Finish

Post by goose_2 »

Here it is:
The Second Mission of US Corps 44:

Panzer Corps US Corps 44-45 #2 Pointe du Hoc Start

Here is how I chose to start this mission. You need to pay attention to the mission briefing as you need to use your ships to help save the 2nd Rangers aux unit. Now on the middle post there has been quite the "discussion" on what to assault with the ships.

Maybe Pete should post his replay here and send it to my email so I can evaluate the different perspective.

Here is that middle:

Panzer Corps US Corps 44-45 #2 Pointe du Hoc Middle

Ok so this mission has some tough units that come out of the woodwork if you put units in vulnerable situations. Approach with caution. I however do not and it costs me.

And here is the End posted today:

Panzer Corps US Corps 44-45 #2 Pointe du Hoc End

Again I get a little too ambitious and lose yet another unit. Even with my aggression I still needed to dig deep in order to seize that last Secondary City.

(Please let me know if I missed something by not taking that city quick enough.)

I am in the middle of Cotentin Peninsula, but needed to cut my middle broadcast short based on receiving some sad news about a family losing their father over Easter weekend, so stopped to pray for the family and their loss. :(

They are fellow Lutherans so really drove home the whole point of...Stay Lutheran My Friends.

I plan on finishing Cotentin either tonight or tomorrow morning, but that will be it for me for a while as going with family to a Lutheran Home School Conference. It is a pretty awesome event to get around fellow likeminded believers in order to worship, play, and learn.

See you all afterwards

No, you didn't miss anything there... did you get prestige for destroying the Atlantikwall facilities?

Yeppers, I make a comment in the video, I think in looking back you see me get 500, so it would have been 1000 on normal prestige.

Panzer Corps US Corps 44-45 #3 Carentan

Post by goose_2 »

Here is the 3rd Mission:

Panzer Corps US Corps 44-45 #3 Carentan Start

Here is a straight Forward mission. The Germans hold a city that you have to dig out. Unlike US 42 however I have enough artillery and a good mix of units to get the job done. (But I get ahead of myself.) This start goes well for me, and I am pleased with my slow steady push into their defenses for minimal damage and maximum effect.

Enjoy, because I sure did.

Panzer Corps US Corps 44-45 #3 Carentan End

Keep pressing forward slowly and steadily. Beware of their StuG counter attack as covered in the mission briefing, but they do not handle them well enough to really worry. The greater threat is from their experienced infantry, use artillery back up liberally in this one.

I finished Cherbourg last night, after dealing with a sick child. :(

US Corps: Panzer Corps US Corps 44-45 #4 Cotentin Peninsula Start

US Corps: Panzer Corps US Corps 44-45 #4 Cotentin Peninsula Start

4th Mission in US Corps DLC 44-45. Beginning and first 5 days.
Rommel level 50% prestige
and Field Marshall level 50% experience
Blind

This is far from a straightforward mission. Pay attention to the briefing and watch your flanks. The enemy has powerful units just waiting to pounce. Take this one seriously as it is no easy task to muddle through.

Enjoy, because the next one is Uber short because something came up while broadcasting. Panzer Corps US Corps 44-45 #4 Cotentin Peninsula Middle

Panzer Corps US Corps 44-45 #4 Cotentin Peninsula Middle

Sorry about this super short episode. Found out about a death of a friend of the family. :(
Needed to get off and pray for the family.

Panzer Corps US Corps 44-45 #4 Cotentin Peninsula End

We have a Tiger to worry about as well as a JagdPanther. This battle is no nonsense and you want to be prepared to take some major shots from their Big Dog units.

Do not take this one lightly, thankfully I didn't, but Cherbourg...That will be a different story. oops

Next time.

Panzer Corps US Corps 44-45 #5 Cherbourg

Post by goose_2 »

Late night at work so have an opportunity to post these 4 broadcasts:

Panzer Corps US Corps 44-45 #5 Cherbourg Start

Here is the start to this mission, and I again get to ambitious with my Alpini. :(

Panzer Corps US Corps 44-45 #5 Cherbourg Days 5-9

Here I mostly consolidate most of my forces towards the center while leaving a token force to proceed up the periphery.

Panzer Corps US Corps 44-45 #5 Cherbourg Days 10-14

Here I approach Cherbourg a little too tightly. Approach Cherbourg very carefully a lot they can throw at you to soften you up before they attack.

Panzer Corps US Corps 44-45 #5 Cherbourg Finish

Here is the wrap up. Will I be able to take it all, including that final 2ndary Objective in the NorthWest? We shall see...

Leaving soon and looking forward to the liveplay in Russia Tomorrow with Braccada.

Stay Lutheran My Friends

US Corps Grand Campaign 42-45 #6 Caen Start

Post by goose_2 »

US Corps Grand Campaign 42-45 #6 Caen Start

Here is the layout, plan and beginning part of this epic battle.

How many units will I lose this time around?

US Corps Grand Campaign 42-45 #6 Caen Days 3-6

Here are the next few days of this large battle.

My best advice when approaching this map is to cross the rivers cautiously as the enemy is waiting to blast any and all units that dare to cross the river.

Play with caution. ;)

Panzer Corps US Corps 44-45 #6 Caen Days 7-10

Here are the next 3 days.

Do not cross the rivers until you are fully ready because they always have a counterstrike waiting for you to do it which will wail on you.

Panzer Corps US Corps 44-45 #6 Caen Days 11-14

Now we got 4 days in. Caen is going to be mine, but how much stuff is waiting for me in the wings, and is it enough to kill my units?

We shall see.
