Operation Uranus

Post by braccada »

19 November 1942 (Watch Part 1)
I am expected to form a two-pincer attack and encircle General Paulus's Army in Stalingrad. Or intelligence is still working to set my objectives, for now I must move quickly.

20 November 1942 (Watch Part 2)
We are running into fierce resistance by experienced German armored units. Even my heavy KV-tanks are paying a high prize for our quick advance. Ice and snow are not helpful either, but we somehow have to close the gap and trap the 6th Army.

22 November 1942 (Watch Part 3)
The liberation of Mother Russia has begun! We have succeeded and Stalingrad is encircled. Completing my objectives so quickly allows us to start Operation Saturn immediately.

Operation Saturn

Post by braccada »

16 December 1942 (Watch Part 1)
After my success in Operation Uranus, orders have come in to exploit this victory with a winter campaign to smash the enemy in the Caucasus. Comrade Stalin has reduced the size of this offensive, however it will still be very important, and will not be easy. We hear the Ukrainians will fight alongside the Germans: we must crush these traitors. I have been provided with a set of objectives and I am expected to complete all of these.

1 January 1943 (Watch Part 2)
After breaking through the initial line of defense we are making great progess. The final targets, Kursk in the north and Rostov in the south are almost in range, but quick armored German kampfgruppen continue to hit us in the flank. To avoid further losses and even a German breakthrough I will have to stabilize the front line before attemting to take the final targets.

17 January 1943 (Watch Part 3)
We took all objectives on time and the Germans are crushed. It is time to celebrate with some Vodka before we continue onwards to Kursk.

Battle of Kursk

Post by braccada »

12 July 1943 (Watch Part 1)
We will meet the German forces at the village of Prokhorocka. My objective is to destroy as many of their tanks as possible. Since they are fieldling some of their new Panther and Tiger Tanks their armored units will be more deadly than we have experienced before.

13 July 1943 (Watch Part 2)
Fighting through a never ending mass of German armor. Can our KVs live up to their legend and hold the ground against SE Tigers and Panthers?

14 July 1943 (Watch Part 3)
We destroyed all of them! No way the Germans can withstand our coming offensive now.

Battle of the Dnieper

Post by braccada »

24 August 1943 (Watch Part 1)
The German forces are located on the far side of the Dnieper River. My orders are to advance on this river and establish a bridgehead across it. I suspect that will not be easy. There are a number of rafting positions where I should be able to acquire rafts. We can use them to cross the Dnieper. However I expect heavy opposition upon crossing.

9 September 1943 (Watch Part 2)
Progress has been fast so far. Not much German resistance on the way to the Dneiper. I expect that to change quickly.

9 September 1943 (Watch Part 3)
Intelligence was wrong again. The Germans actually awaited us on the eastern riverbank. We will be able to push through their armored forces, but if resistance on the other side is equally strong, we will be in trouble.

8 November 1943 (Watch Part 4)
All objectives are secured and the Dneiper no longer is an obstacle for our advance.

Korsun-Cherkassy Pocket

Post by braccada »

24 January 1944 (Watch Part 1)
Our primary goal is now envelopment. My orders are simply to encircle the enemy forces so that their ammunition and fuel supplies cannot be maintained. Without these they cannot fight. However, their forces, both from the outside and within, are likely to attempt to break through.

26 January 1944 (Watch Part 2)
Our forces are on the move and the initial German resistance is light. Our two pincers should meet soon.

29 January 1944 (Watch Part 3)
The trap has sprung and our pincers have met. The German forces in the pocket are certainly doomed and my forces ready to meet any relieve attempt they might be able to muster.

4 February 1944 (Watch Part 4)
It is finished and Comrade Stalin was very pleased. As a result I am tasked with recapturing the Crimea.
20 August 1939
The Empire of Japan has been active in its plans for expansion. This has not affected us directly, until now. Their advance on our eastern border must be stopped.
My primary objective is to capture the central bridge over the Khalkha River.

How do I make my video appear on the post?

That is actually quite simple. Use the video tag like in the quote above and put in the link you get from youtube.

Crimean Offensive

Post by braccada »

8 April 1944 (Watch Part 1)
It has come as a great shock that the Germans are holding the Crimea. It is an area of great importance to our nation and they must be taught a lesson. The enemy has vreated deeply entrenched defenses at the narrow Perekop Isthmus. It has come to our attention that these forces could be bypassed by building a bridge across the Sivas Sea. It is unknown whether they will evacuate or reinforce this peninsula so I have to act quickly in either case.

11 April 1944 (Watch Part 2)
The German defences proved to be weaker than expected and our forces are advancing towards Sevastopol almost unhindered.

16 April 1944 (Watch Part 3)
The Crimea is free again and will be an important asset to Mother Russia.

Operation Bagration

Post by braccada »

22 June 1944 (Watch Part 1)
This may be the most important battle so far, and I am playing a vital role. I will have to complete a set of objectives and use partisan units to disrupt enemy communications.

24 June 1944 (Watch Part 2)
The partisans have done their job and German communication lines are broken. Meanwhile my bombers wreak havoc enabling us the overcome the initial defensive line with little problems. If there are not massive German tanks forces hidden towards Minsk, the battle will be over in several days.

28 June 1944 (Watch Part 3)
Most of Army Group Center is destroyed and our armored units close in on Mink. The Germans will make a last stand there. However the only question now is how long they can delay the inevitable.

3 July 1944 (Watch Part 4)
Army Group Center is shattered. Excellent work, but there is no rest for my men. I have already recieved my orders to march into Romania.

Battle of Romania

Post by braccada »

20 August 1944 (Watch Part 1)
Comrade Stalin has ordered that we reclaim the Moldavian SSR and open a path to the Balkans. We therefore must mount an offensive on the combined German-Romanian forces. Our intelligence tells us that there is a high probability that the Romanian forces could be persuaded to switch sides. My orders are to encircle them, so they will have little choice but to join us.

24 August 1944 (Watch Part 2)
The German forces are surrounded and facing a desperate situation Romania has decided to switch sides.

28 August 1944 (Watch Part 3)
The Romanian forces have proven their loyalty and our advance towards the enemy heartland can continue unhindered.

Battle of Debrecen

Post by braccada »

8 October 1944 (Watch Part 1)
War has reached Hungary. We will be fighting both the Huns and the Hungariens. With the Romanians on our side, they have provided some auxiliary units. We have minimal reconnaissance intelligence, so I do not know how much resistance we will face. I I have time, I will have to do my own reconnaissance. Succeeding here will open the route to Budapest.

9 October 1944 (Watch Part 2)
We are running into massed German tank forces. I am not sure who is on the offensive here.

14 October 1944 (Watch Part 3)
The route to Budapest has been opened. Destroying so many of the enemy forces in the area should make our avance much easier.

Battle of Budapest

Post by braccada »

19 December 1944 (Watch Part 1)
We need to act quickly. Half of the battleground is located within an urban environment and the other half is in the open plains. Our intelligence tells us that the city sewers may be used for the covert movement of infantry. We need to reach the Citadel on the other side of the city. The German HQ is located there at the hangar close to the sewer exit.

22 December 1944 (Watch Part 2)
The initial defences of the city are failing quickly and our forces reached the Danube with little problems.

26 December 1944 (Watch Part 3)
It is done. By completing our objectives we opened the way towards Berlin.

Battle of the Seelow Hights

Post by braccada »

16 April 1945 (Watch Part 1)
Our forces arrived at the last fortified line before Berlin. There is a large plain which stands between the German capital and us. We have air superiority and their army consists of ole men and inexperienced boys. However the German forces have the High ground and their defences are dug in deeply.

17 April 1945 (Watch Part 2)
The German Luftwaffe has been dealt with and our forces have reached the outskirts of Sealow.

18 April 1945 (Watch Part 3)
The bulk of the remaining German forces is destroyed and the way to Berlin is cleared.

Battle of Berlin

Post by braccada »

23 April 1945 (Watch Part 1)
23 April 1945 - This Battle will see the end of the Germans. It will not be easy as this will be an urban battle, but it has to be done.

26 April 1945 (Watch Part 2)
We are advancing towards the city center and so far the resistance has been surprisingly organized, but lacking in experienced soldiers and equipment.

2 May 1945 (Watch Part 3)
All industrial capacity and logistic support of Germany is ruined. They have nowhere to call for replacements anymore.

8 May 1945 (Watch Part 4)
It is done! Next I have been offered the opportunity to lead our advance into Western Germany by Comrade Stalin personally.

Battle of Western Europe

Post by braccada »

10 May 1945 (Watch Part 1)
Now that the Western Allies are at their weakest, we will destroy these capitalist pigs. Our forces have a stronghold near the Elbe River. My orders are to hold a defensive position on this river. Our intelligence tells us that there is a dam on the river, and that tehre is a possibility that it could be destroyed to inflict maximum damamge on the enemy.

15 May 1945 (Watch Part 2)
Our goal at the moment is to reach the Elbe River and block the bridges.

21 May 1945 (Watch Part 3)
The war is finally over. With the Elbe River flodded, there is no way for either side to continue the attack.
