Surprisingly, lately I have crossed swords with a lot of good competent players. I try to give pointers to those who are new to the MP game, once it is apparent they are in trouble, if anything, to try and build up their confidence on how to solve problems. Too often I experience players who want a quick kill, and if not, they have a tendency to quit which is very disheartening to me...

its quite common habit
players are coming after beating harmless ai and are not ready for real challenge

In fairness MP has some pretty gamey stuff, like dissolving all garrisons to flood the battlefield. Everyone talks about Germany doing this, but for me Russia is the really issue. Either way, it is gamey and further unbalances a game that has some clear holes. The shame is that a bit more development and this would have been a stellar game.

There is a simple way to improve the game : the two players have to accept right at the beginning not to suppress garrisons except on the front line and not building new planes/zeppelins. It is then slower, but more realistic/historic. But be ready to play tens of rounds !
