Merry Christmas!
Re: Panzer Corps Tournament 2018
Where's alexrus?
You should orchestrate this: one after the other, so the avatars bling is maxxed - Christmas-wise.
Alfredo prepared an ambush right on the way to Christmas dinner (kind of - Venezuelan guerrilla tactics), so the fight rages on verociously since then. For all of you sitting at home in peace and having a good time - just think of those brave men still in the tournament, fighting for the good cause!

Merry Christmas
My Christmas was quite nice as my kiddos performed a Christmas Eve Program and great Christmas morning service. Much enjoyed...focused on Jesus, so I was happy.
The thing I enjoyed the most was watching the kiddos get super excited at giving their gifts, my 5 oldest kiddos got or made presents for all 7 of their siblings, and even Mom and Dad were gifted from these ambitious children. They were elated to watch the response to their gifts and was a joy to watch.
Merry Christmas to you and yours.

Re: Panzer Corps Tournament 2018
WE MADE IT ACROSS THE LINE! (Not the finish line though :p)
It's official: THE 2018/2019 WORLD CHAMPION TOURNAMENT.
I can only hope Slitherine doubles the belts, shares of the company and so forth.
Will provide screens of the game soon - just waiting for another response turn to seal the deal.
Alfredo did a pretty good job defending as the attacker though. So props to him.
Very appropriate the community around here organized huge fireworks yesterday to celebrate even the unofficial win. Austrians are very invested when it comes to strategy and esports.
HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Re: Panzer Corps Tournament 2018
I would like to say thanks. And will! But it's got to be over to be over.
So until 3rd and 4th places are settled, I will try my best to survive the clean streets of Vienna at least for one more month.
I devised a very thorough safety-strategy to be able to accept the most epic hexagon strategy championship of all time.

Hurrah! Hurrah! How is the other match going? I'm on pins and needles!
Re: Panzer Corps Tournament 2018
Hm... Fought to the last man and both lost.
What a tragic ending for such good men.

Re: Panzer Corps Tournament 2018
To warm your hearts these cold days.
I marked the guys red that I envision having a bright future career running an autoshop... or valet parking service.
Those two no-43, no-xp US inf guys treated those panthers like kittens... and brought them in at 7 str shined and polished for a pretty nice surrender.
The bridge pios got the raw deal.
Unfortunately they had to go to make sure there is no possiblity to surrender my inf on the river crossing.
Also notice how convenient the Marder is blocked. Next turn could be his.
So that situation demands attention to prevent another tragedy... taking pressure off the troops in the north - not that they need it, they got arty support visible and reinforcements in the east.
But if anything horrible should lurk in the fog of war - that very likely has to help get the marder out.
-> Pressure.
I also drove a hellcat in his visual range just to say "hi" and remind him how fragile his arty is and how near punishment is. Unlikely, but maybe he even checks the numbers of the beast to secondguess if that is the same hellcat he saw for the whole game and where the other could possibly be.
-> More pressure.
Rest of the map I can't reveal, but next turn will also bring a stern assault on the fourth (of 3 needed) main objectives in the mountains after reloading all the big guns. I gave him a little bait on the river to make him maybe abandon positions -> easier to hit the 88 once more for a glorious bomb run (still running 3 bombers and 3fighters; axis airforce is down).

Re: Panzer Corps Tournament 2018
Woken is the winner in our game. On the allied side I managed to control just one primary target after 15 turns. As Axis I did surrender after 14 turns, while Allies was controlling 2 primary targets. No chance for me to get back one of them.
Congratulations to woken and many thanks to goose for organising this great tournament.
Best regards
Gwaylare

Re: Panzer Corps Tournament 2018
Congrats to Woken for the win and to Gwaylare for advancing so far against such good competition! This tournament has been excellent competition and fun. Loved it.
Re: Panzer Corps Tournament 2018
Please don't forget 3rd and 4th place.
So Gwaylare is going nowhere. :p
Congratulations for securing a sweet narrow victory over him.

Re: Panzer Corps Tournament 2018
I just finished my last turn in this tournament about two weeks shy of entering it to have competed a full year.
It was a true pleasure to issue another beatdown to the finish line, clocking in at 7 turns to an iron clad victory as the attacker.
Really happy to hammer it home with a stellar performance for a feelgood ending. You feel the good, don't you?
I gave Alfredo a chance to win his allied side as a parting gift if he uses the right sequence in his last attackers turn. Keeping it classy!
