If you buy and install AK on top of PzC, it will be installed as an expansion, and will upgrade PzC to 1.10 in the process.MartyWard wrote:If you buy Africa Corp will the update automatically be applied or will it be a separate instal?

Re: 1.06
I think it will come with AK but we are working out the details now.
Re: 1.06
Dear Developers,
I have two questions, releated to the AK expansion + version 1.10.
Maybe that are already discussed in other threads, but I couldn'nt find.
1., If I don't buy AK, will be a 1.10 patch for the original PC too?
2., Is it true, that the "advanced" AI features will be switchable to not ruin all earlier scenarios with the old AI behaviour? It would be very necessary...

Re: 1.06
Hi Bob, and welcome to the forum. As this is a separate question (not about 1.06) it would have been better to start a new thread (for example, called "Entrenchment") - don't get me wrong, there are plenty of threads that meander about between subjects but if you had started a new thread everyone would have been able to see immediately what it was about
As for how to entrench a unit in Panzer Corps, the answer is quite simple... you don't. Every turn that a unit remains stationary and takes no action (combat, et cetera) automatically increases its entrenchment level. Some units start entrenched to simulate that they have been "digging in" ready to hold their positions.
From the manual:
"Each point of entrenchment increases the unit’s
defence in combat (by ½ against infantry and by 1 against all other units) and
improves the unit’s chance to put up a rugged defence. Entrenchment growth rate
depends on the terrain and the unit’s class. Infantry units are the fastest to entrench, tank
units are slowest. Clear terrain is the worst for entrenching in, rough terrain like cities, forests
and mountains is the best. Every attack on a unit reduces its entrenchment by 1."
Hope that helps.
