Glenn and I have reach turn 6 in both games; very intense firefight also in both battles. Curiously, at this moment the germans are holding one flag in every game, but conducting very different strategies. Impossible to predict any outcome at all! :D

Final games for place 7-8 finished. In both games the German side won by capturing all four flags, so number of killed tanks and infantry decided the winner:

7th place: Brummbar
8th place: Cavehobbit

Well done, Brummbar! Two good games and an exciting end as it came down to counting casualties :D

Well done, Burgot! And it looks like Best fought hard as you were quite close in your unit losses :)

Now you will have to wait for Collier and Hogbar to finish their games before playing the final map.

Hello all, here we are with the outcome of the A Semifinals between Glenghiscan and I:

Germans (Avisnigra67) 4 - French (Glenghiscan) 0

French (Avisnigra67) 4 - Germans (Glenghiscan) 0

Above all and besides the final outcome, I must say these have been one of the toughest battles I ever played in BA. Thank you Glen!

As I started to say in the results post, I must say that Glenghiscan have fought a great games. The final outcome doesn't reflect the real nature of how things happened during the games. At start and during the 5 first turns of both games, I was overwhelmed by the strategy of Glen. He quickly take advantage on the field in inflicting more losses to my troops no matter he was the attacker or defending.
Nevertheless I could manage to stabilize the situation, as defender; containing the onslaught of his R35 and Panhards across the river in the central bride, and as attacker, I manage to cross in force to the other side of the river by the bridge far away of the city. Little by little I could balance the games in the last third of the battles.
Finally, if you could knock out the major part of AT guns and mortars of your rival, things could change in your favor drastically in the last two turns...

Thank you Glen for this big two games and the best for you for the next battles.

Regards

R.

Well done, Avisnigra! But it sounds like Glenghiscan gave you a good fight. Now we wait for Zarevic and KingT to finish their games. From what I understand KingT is busy offline at the moment.

Yes, in fact there are about 10 days that we don`t play any turn.... I hope Kingt doesn`t have any serious problem.
By the way, both battles are about turn 8-9 and they`re being very very close and hard.

*** Tournement news ***

Hi all,

I've sent KingT a PM a couple of days ago, but no reply from him. Therefore I've decided that Zarevic is the winner in the semi-final between Zarevic and KingT to allow the tournament to finished before Christmas.
So, the finalist for place 1 and 2 will be Avisnigra and Zarevic.
If KingT turns up within the next few days he and Glenghiscan will play a game for place 3 and 4. But if KingT doesn't turn up Glenghiscan will have 3rd place.
