JCB989's Capture the Fuel Depot Tournament
Finally! Time to round up 6-8 players for a tourney using the Capture the Fuel Depot V3 map.
It is a hard win for german side, you must capture all the flags.
I am thinking 2 points for win as Germans, 1 point for win as Allies.
If we get 8 players, what I might ask to do is self-identify rank and we will play in some sort of modified elimination style.

Hi Ranger
Can I assume that 'ditto' means you'd like to join the tournament?
That brings us up to the following players:
jcb989
peterjfrigate
kingt
Ranger
...almost enough to start. Let me ponder a ladder scheme to propose here by tomorrow, that allows the possibility of new players too and we can get going.
Stand by for more info. Oh by the way, I heard from Colin and he is taking a break right now.

Re: JCB989's Capture the Fuel Depot Tournament
Player..............Wins - Allies..........Wins - Germans..........# of Flag Captures as Germans
Kingt
Landmarine47
Ranger
Jcb989
peterjfrigate
Tourney Rules:
2 points for Allied Win
3 points for German Win
1 point per flag held as Germans
All players play head-to-head from each side 1X
Two players with highest score go to Final Match
Player with highest score entering Final Match chooses side
If points tied, Final Match is a mirrored set, otherwise
One game for Final Match
OK?
(I couldn't think of anything fancy, lol)

two mirrored games posted, password: jcb989
hope I have the right map! 'cause I have 4 versions of V3 in my gamelist for some reason, due to development activity, lol.
If we get the script warning, I can restart them with another choice or redownload from the server. I think I have the right pair set though...

Re: JCB989's Capture the Fuel Depot Tournament
Sorry JCB won't be able to participate for a while way to busy. If you get to many players remove me and make room for them. I'd say 1 week and ill come back.
Thanks LM
Thanks LM

The good news is that I see your games - I didn't before with this scenario. However, it looks like I don't have the right map. Can you please post here the map version we should be using henceforward?jcb989 wrote:two mirrored games posted, password: jcb989

No worries. This could take many weeks, so let's see what happens.
Like you said, if someone wants to enter - I'll give them your slot.

Re: JCB989's Capture the Fuel Depot Tournament
That is good news. Now, what facts showed you that you have the wrong map...? You should be able to download the scenario straight from Slitherine inside the game, as they are now hosting the official copy (which is "V3" of which only one version exists. my problem was that I have several V4 V5 V6 versions in my subfolders....)kingt wrote:The good news is that I see your games - I didn't before with this scenario. Nope. The interest never developed into something that would happen.
I'll gladly play you in a pair though. Look up user "Jaster" as well, he will play a pair I think.
