Christmas Surprise Tournament
I'd like to thank Enric for taking up the initiative to start a tournament with the City River scenario.
and I'd like to borrow this idea, and create a new tournament using the scenario "Christmas Surprise".
This is a 6 players tournament, each player will match each other as US and as German, so each player will play 10 games.
To apply for the tournament:
- post here, when six player have applied the tournament will begin.
To start a match:
- send a PM to your opponent or post here with details (who opens the challenge, password, etc).
Now since this map can be very hard to stop the German advance.
- Each win as German earns 1 point.
- Each win as Americans earns 2 points.
- Turn limit is 14 days (at least make that a goal, we don't want games lasting 2 months).
- If there is no winner after a reasonable amount of time, (say 21 days) the game is considered a draw and both players receive 0 points.
- Players are free to play any number of games at the same time.
- When a match is started post here as:
START GAME <<"Player name" as US, (or as German), vs "opponent name">>
- When a match has finished, the winner must post here the result as:
END GAME<<"Player name" as US, (or as German), wins vs. "opponent name">>
I'll update the board results similar to how Enric has done it. Thanks again to Enric fro leading the way.
So, who wants in? By the way,..I will be one of the players,..so I'm looking for 5 players. First come, first server or until filled up.

Hi, i'm glad to see you're pushing forward the tournaments.
I would like to participate, but now my time is limited, and i've two new scenarios on develop...,
Good luck to everybody.
PS: How do you deal with family, work, and have time to participate on several tournaments, DDAY many players,… I'm jealous

I think that since you're starting it, you should draw the games once you have all six players and post the order of the games here on the forum. This will make things a lot easier for each of us as we'll all know what game is next.

2 scenarios in development, you're running a tournament, and also play a few games,...and you ask me how I deal with family, work,..and such
Seems to me,...you're busier than I am.
My secret, is that I wake up at 4:30am to play.

Enric: Are you saying that you will play? I'm reading it as you're super busy and you can't this time,...so unless you say yes,...I'm assuming no,..although, we'd love to have you.
Personally,...I want you to keep designing scenarios.

I like that idea kingt! I've already created a spreadsheet similar to what enric used.
Once we get the last player,..I'll post the spreadsheet.
On second thought,....it might be better to post who you need to play,..and let you decide,...since some of you might want to start 2 games at once.
Let's see how it goes.
In the other tournament enric created,..is was a free for all,...and it actually went smoothly.

I tried to say I would like, but I cannot.gortwillsaveus wrote:enric wrote:Hi, i'm glad to see you're pushing forward the tournaments.

Thank you.
BTW, reserve some little time to my next scenario: Fortified Line, with several improvements, I'll create a tournament also.

Excellent,....we're full.
I'll edit the spreadsheet and post in a few minutes.
In the other "City River" tournament matches seemed to pair up pretty easily. If things don't progress smoothly, I'll move to kingt's suggestion.
So,..see my first post regarding how to let me know who you're playing and off course, let me know who won each battle.
If any of you have questions, please post here.
Overall, good luck!

I'll stick my first challenge out there with password "scoobydoo" and to the victor may fall the spoils.
