Chris Beesley has just entered. So we are 6 so far and will be playing 3 games on Sat. Neil can supply more tables if we get more entries (Lynette?)

Traditionally we had held 5 games at Campaign to fit the 3 person-team format. This continued when we had 6 individual entries as it enabled everyone to play every other competitor. However, we now have 8 competitors, well over half of whom have a preference for only 2 games on the Saturday.
So I have taken the opportunity to revise the timetable, with a decent break at lunchtime to enjoy the show and venue:
Revised Timetable
Saturday
09.00 – Show opens to the public.
09.30 – First competition round.
14.00 – Second competition round.
18.00 – Show closes for public access.
Sunday
09.00 – Third competition round.
11.00 – Show opens to the public.
13.00 – Fourth competition round.
16.30 – Show closes. Prize giving.

R & R
Keith Spedding - Early Henrician English 1530
Wayne Charlton - Early Gustavan Swedish 1630
Ben Jones – Early 30YW Swedish 1633
Bob Medcraft – 30YW French 1640
Chris Beesley – Swedish – Weimarian 1640
Lynette Maxim - Jacobite Rebellion 1690
Dene Green - LoA Anglo-Dutch 1693
Ray Boyles - Later Swedish 1695

Keith has kindly checked my list and agreed to be Umpire on the day.

Regards

Ray

Keith has done the first round draw. He has kept the 4 Burton players apart for the first round but rounds after that club will only be used as a tie breaker. Its:

Wayne Charlton - Early Gustavan Swedish 1630 v Chris Beesley – Swedish – Weimarian 1640
Ray Boyles - Later Swedish 1695 v Bob Medcraft – 30YW French 1640
Dene Green - LoA Anglo-Dutch 1693 v Ben Jones – Early 30YW Swedish 1633
Lynette Maxim - Jacobite Rebellion 1690 v Keith Spedding - Early Henrician English 1530

Here are the full results for the FOG R competition at Campaign this year.

It is a big win for Ben Jones.

Place Player Number Player Name Army Opponent Score Total Score
Round 1 Round 2 Round 3 Round 4 Round 1 Round 2 Round 3 Round 4
1 3 Ben Jones Early 30YW Swedish 7 5 8 6 21 25 17 16 79
2 6 Lynnette Maxim Jacobite Rebellion 1 8 4 3 23 7 19 9 58
3 7 Dene Green LoA Anglo-Dutch 3 2 5 8 4 11 21 18 54
4 8 Ray Boyles Later Swedish 4 6 3 7 25 13 8 7 53
5 2 Wayne Charlton Early Gustavan Swedish 5 7 1 4 4 9 5 25 43
6 1 Keith Spedding Early Henrician English   6 4 2 5 2 3 20 11 36
7 5 Chris Beesley Swedish Weimarian 2 3 7 1 16 0 4 9 29
8 4 Bob Medcraft TYW French 8 1 6 2 0 22 6 0 28

Again most games ended in an army break well within the time scale for the games.
