I can try but I'm afraid that almost all of them seem to have contracted very bad cases of 'Art de la Guerre' disease so much so that I can't remember the last time I saw a FoGR game at the club or played myself.

Such is the disease level at the club that before my recent game of Blucher there my opponent apologised for 'dragging me away from ADLG' to which I replied that there were still a few of us that preferred to play something else!

Update:

I send an email to the club about the competition.

In minutes I get a reply.

'Does this mean there is a one day ADLG competition in Oxford on the 30th April?'

The ADLG disease is overcoming all now.

With just over a month to go then is the time to make your mind up whether your for the King or Parliament.

So make your decision and join a day of heavy wargaming, with a chance to playtest the proposed updates.

Bob

I am declaring for Parliament.

When do we need to submit our lists?

Parliament - or more specifically the Commonwealth: New Model Army in Ireland.

Dear all,

Nik has now posted the proposed revised points chart and a detailed note of the proposed rules changes.

We will use these at our event. Bob has volunteered to email them to our current competitor list by way of belt and braces. He also hopes to be able to send out a revised version of the army list spreadsheet. But it is not available as yet.

In light of shortening timescales I am happy to look at army lists in whatever (comprehensible and readable) format each of you would like to use. So, as soon as you like folks; army lists to me at t.elsworth@btopenworld.com

Bob - Sorry, I've got your message re Patrick's army list and will get it over to you and Tom today, along with our choices for the "Way of the Warrior" armies. Computer problems since Friday (I'm thinking of installing a replacement bus service at weekends, now).

It seems a few of us (me and #1 son included) have been a tad dilatory in submitting our army lists - sorry to everyone.

I certainly am. Scots Covenanter.

List e-mailed to Tom some time ago but, having not heard back, I have just re-sent it.

Yes, 20 is particularly impressive given the fall-off in FoGR competitions generally this year - well done Bob.
