Potential Dates for 'Way of The Warriors' 2017
What Ho members of the Hive Mind!
Can I kindly have your input.
Looking for dates for 'Way of The Warriors' in 2017. My dream date of the 4th not only clashes with Games Expo and The Challenge (which I want to do).
So, potential dates...
Campaign will be either 7th or 14th May (Brownie points)
May 21st
May 28th
Games Expo
June 11th
June 18th - my daughters birthday weekend, better keep that clear.
Want to get this sorted asap.

May 28th is the bank holiday weekend, and folk may be away. Otherwise, May 21st or June 11th are equally fine for me.

Need to check with control. I know we have some hols booked in June just not sure of the date.
Re: Potential Dates for 'Way of The Warriors' 2017
I am informed June 11th (which I'm assuming is a Sunday) is viable.
Re: Potential Dates for 'Way of The Warriors' 2017
After finally checking I can not do the later June dates.
Re: Potential Dates for 'Way of The Warriors' 2017

Will - Same theme/conditions as last year? What about the rules upgrades?

Not thinking about this tourney in particular but what do people think in general about the rules changes and competitions? What about the rules upgrades?
My own thought would be play under the current rules for 2017 comps to get a good period of non-comp play experience tested for anomalies and unforeseen consequences. Or is it up to each tourney organiser?

Re: Potential Dates for 'Way of The Warriors' 2017
It will be down to each organiser but a lesson learnt from the FoG AM V2 update (which admittedly was more substantial than ours) was that if you take too long people lose enthusiasm. In terms of timing, I'm pretty confident that the updates will not be ready in time for Roll Call in April, but I'd be disappointed if we couldn't have them done for Challenge, which is the weekend before this one.
Re: Potential Dates for 'Way of The Warriors' 2017
We are considering using some if not all the proposed changes at the Oxford Round. Tom and Ben are playtesting them over the next couple of weeks to see their impact on ECW.

Once they are collated and distributed I would consider using them, but I would have to ensure all players had and under them!
And that I understood them, and I still don't understand the flanking rules!!!!

Just to check, if we are going with the same theme/period as last year then I shall need to borrow an army - anything Indian or Buccaneer/Pirate will do.

Whilst I can not go to this competition I can lend you an army. Lets talk at Oxford.

Thanks, Bob. I promise not to win with it, or anything daft like that.

I know it is some time off and I can not come but what is the theme and what restrictions are you placing on the armies allowed?
