Re: Southern League FOGR 2016 at Southampton
Hi,
I am afraid I can now confirm I can no longer attend and I was going to bring a sensible option as well. No border reviers this year..
I am cancelling due to a Scouting, no not LH or LF before you all start , commitment.
However I have mentioned the fun of border reivers to Bruce
Enjoy the day.
Nigel

Ok Nigel, thanks for letting us know and enjoy your stick rubbing.
Good to hear you can join us Bruce but I'm not familiar with your forum name so which Bruce are you?

We operate under the "University of Woollamaloo" principle - everyone is called Bruce to avoid confusion.

How many player are left in the competition. Should we pay more to cover the costs?

Re: Southern League FOGR 2016 at Southampton
Unfortunately, Bob is correct in asking how many players are left in this competition. We have now had 10 players drop out which means we can no longer cover the cost of hiring the hall and the associated expenses.
This leaves a few options. Firstly we can get more players but this seems very unlikely at this stage. Secondly, we can put the fee up for the day and finally we can cancel the event. The latter is the option of last resort as at this stage I don't want to find out if there will be a financial penalty for cancelling the hire of the hall this late in the day.
So, I need to know if the players still coming would be willing to pay £15 for the day rather than the £12 we originally quoted? This is pretty much the fee most of the SL competitions charge anyway but it is an unexpected increase this late in the day for which I can only apologise.
Feedback from as many, if not all, of you as possible would be much appreciated.

I don't mind paying an extra £3
Re: Southern League FOGR 2016 at Southampton
The Oxford 4 are happy to pay £15 each.
Rather pay more than not have a game.

Hi Alasdair,
I have kept the list of players up to date on the first page of this topic, dated Dec 7th. I have reminded all the Wessex guys and if you need any of those chasing let me know as most don't frequent this forum.

Yes, no problem. They will be there on the 10th as well and if I forget them either day the barracks are just up the road as you know.

In case anyone is wondering we have had a last minute hiccup with numbers but I should have the runners and riders posted along with the first round draw( courtesy of Alasdair) in the next couple of days.
