Death of Generals

Post by DavidT »

I want to clarify something on the death of generals which I seem to remember reading in the rules but cannot now find.

If a BG is destroyed in the initial pursuit, is the general killed automatically or can he move to the nearest friendly BG within 6MU if one is available (assuming he survives the 10+ death roll)?

Regards
David

Hi David,

I think the point you are looking for is the last bullet on p69 about Movement of Commanders.

In your example if he survived the 10+ roll and the BG he was with was wiped out still in contact with the enemy, then if there is a friendly BG within his normal move distance then he moves there- if not he is lost!

Hope that helps

Don

Many thanks Don
It was probably because it was in the movement section that I couldn't find it.
