So hmm… Did you, Enric, change the sight rules? Because I found that my units fired at other units that were three or four squares away, with no other unit possibly closer. That might explain what's going on.

No, I didn't.
Which unit is firing four squares away?, can you tell me also the coordinates? at which unit is firing?

Posted two new scenarios.

Before offering a new scenario I use to play, with some close friends, at least 10-15 times each side and when we feel it's balanced then I released it.

But when released, I use to receive comments like: "it's unplayable for the allies", or "the German force need more armor", etc., for the same scenario, so I decided to create a scenario where both sides have the same "exactly" forces. Like a Chess game, like a meeting engagement.

On Chess GE both players have the same German units, and on Chess AL both players have the same Allied units.
The objective is to take the enemy HQ flag, otherwise the better score wins (see the briefing for score points).

I hope they are balanced enough :D

Devious! But why would you do this to me! How will people complain now??!! We'll see a slew of people rage-quitting the game because they can no longer blame 'overpowered German armour!' or 'overpowered Allied artillery!'. My poor starving children....

;)

Really clever idea.

New scenario based in the CHESS system: TOWN CHESS

Too medium forces reach a small town at the same time.
The victory is achieved by controling the village. A side is said to control the village when the opponent is demoralized.
A side is demoralized when its morale is below 900 and the enemy morale is over double its morale.

The morale of a side is calculated as: the sum of the morale of all his alive units.

The morale of a unit is calculated as: the morale shown by BA x number of men alive in the unit / number total of men originaly in the unit.
for exemple: a infantry with a morale 100, ha only 4 men left. (originally had 5)
100 x 4 / 5 = 80, this unit counts as 80 for the total morale of its side.
A MG (2 men originaly) with only one man left, and a BA morale of 60:
60 x 1 / 2 = 30

Tracked unit gives a 100 points to the morale.
So, when a tank arrives as reinforcement it adds the 100 morale (if it arrives with this morale) more 100 for tracked = 200
When a tracked is eliminated, the morale drops 100 more the current morale of the unit being eliminated.

CHESS_GE and CHESS go to final: v 1.0

We have tested a lot those scenarios and we found they are very balanced (both sides have exactly the same forces), moreover, the victory conditions give different approaches according to changes in the situation of play.

In many cases you may feel in despair for several loses, then you may change strategy and play to not allow the other player to get a TOTAL victory o, if possible, the get a DRAW, or why not, awaiting an occasion to revert the situation, because when you play defensive the other side has to risk.

TOTAL VICTORY: when one side takes the other’s HQ Flag, or eliminating all enemy units. When one of these condition happens the game ends immediately.

MARGINAL VICTORY: When one side has 20 o more points than the other side at the end of the game turns.
There are 20 game turns to each side, so the game ends at the beginning of the Allied turn 21.

DRAW: At turn 21 if neither of the above conditions are achieved.

It's just in a preliminary phase, I think these new mods work fine, but the scenario where they will be included is not yet done.
I'll try to finish that weekend.

I need some tester for a new scenario:

Just added:
- Truck resupply
- Ambulances
- Putting charges to the bridges

This is a preliminar version usually tested with Alex (is out until September).
If someone is interested please send me a PM and I'll send the link.
Before accepting, be aware that:
- At least a daily turn is expected.
- The game may be cancelled at any point if any oddity or issue is found.

Thanks
