Part 12:
This is the big one: the Battle of the Ebro. Republicans are making one final push and General Heinrich von Heck moves to oppose them. Instead of meekly sitting behind the river getting shelled, von Heck goes on the offensive and never lets up.

Part 11:
General Heinrich von Heck moves north, to Aragon for a little rest and relaxation. This battle is the easiest in the entire SCW in Heck's opinion. Weak, scattered forces, no particularly heavily defended areas.

Re: AO: Generalissimus Heinrich von Heck reporting for duty
Part 10: General Heinrich von Heck goes to play in the snow near Teruel with his friends from the Spanish Cavalry. But they aren't very polite so he tells them to stay put while the Condor legion does all the hard work (as usual). But later the cavalry is let slip and pretty much redeems itself in t...

Re: AO: Generalissimus Heinrich von Heck reporting for duty
Part 9: General Heinrich von Heck heads towards Zaragoza where some Nationalists are in trouble and need rescuing. It's a decent scenario except you have to endure the AI ally taking chip damage all game long. Damage that Herr von Heck has to pay for from his own pocket. He very nearly has a meltdow...

Re: Historical Heroes in AO 1942
It is a very good unit, for both ground attack and plane hunting. Its major drawback is its initiative is only 1. But that can be fixed with a No Retaliation (offense only), 1st Strike (both offense and defense), or even a Superior Maneuver hero on it. With its 18 range, its effective initiative wh...

Re: Paratroopers are kinda bad after 1.02
is it possible to have an answer on the motivation of this change of mechanics ? I hope it's not just because of the haters on pvp..... Because there is not counter to paras. Fighters and AA can't really intercept. They can add a support fire if you drop the paratroop within the range of fighter or...

Re: Move mechanics for German allies units
I'm playing a turn based game vs AI. I'm just not interested in watching the AI VS AI. If it was less dumb (edit: the AI isn't bad overall, pretty good actually, but not up to the task). or would be less painful, but still not ideal. My fav way of playing SCW is picking Aux Force and using my allies...

Re: Bilbao Airforce
20mm quad is very good for protecting high value units such as 88s and 'soft' artillery from low attack aircraft.
Combine with AA veteran and a few fighters and you will completely neutralize enemy airforce in no time

Re: Do hero/unit-trait effects stack ?
They generally do not stack. And where there are tiers of the same ability, like rapid fire or entrenchment killer, only the better trait/hero applies.

Re: AO: Generalissimus Heinrich von Heck reporting for duty
Nicely done - I always get too aggressive in the initial turns of this scenario, so I enjoyed the slower, more methodical approach with a lot of support given, especially by towed AT gun placement. If I even go and replay this campaign one day that will be a lesson learned. Those T-26 and other har...

Re: unable to create own units starting campaign
Ive had PG2 many years , after many year layoff , i installed on new laptop. I dont recall not being able to start from scratch . In this iteration , units are already deployed . I am able to delete some units, not all. Is there something Im missing or forgot ? There is an option for starting turn ...

Part 8: General Heinrich von Heck goes to a place called Brunete near Madrid. A major Republican assault in progress, so the Condor Legion rushes north, stops the assault, and keeps driving north... north... it's a very tall map. Not much happens once you've stopped the main assault. A bit of cleanu...

Part 7: A fork in the road. One way leads to Malaga, the other to Bilbao. Von Heck goes south, back to Malaga because he likes mobile warfare. This is a fun little scenario with multiple axes of attack and some good resistance. Nothing too hard though and it turns into a massacre. https://www.youtub...

Re: AI transports in the Demyansk mission
I've played this scenario a few times already and never had a problem with all of the Ju 52s surviving the battle. However, it does seem a bit lame and have wondered if it was intentional. Don't know if it was or not. I think it may just be the way the AI decides its flight path on its turns. Have ...

Re: AI transports in the Demyansk mission
I just finished the Demyansk scenario in AO 1942 and was extremely frustrated by the behaviour of the AI transports that you need to keep alive for the bonus mission. I'll decribe what happened. After a few turns the transports start their flight to the pocket in the northwest as intended. I do my ...
