Re: Panzer Corps 2 - Dev Diary #6
Great discussion, keep it going. :) Some very quick comments. I like the addition of random generated maps. It will guarantee a longer usage of the game. A good example of this is the fact that I still play The Grandest Fleet - thanks to its random generated maps option. Will you use similar parame...

Re: Panzer Corps 2 - Dev Diary #4
No turn limit should have consequences for follow up scenarios - the longer it takes in theory other scenarios can end up being postponed. I would opt for less prestige awarded if one choses to continue to play beyond a certain pre-chosen amount of turns. Not necessarily, because we are not saying ...

Re: Panzer Corps 2 - Dev Diary #4
One of my biggest frustration with recon units - the selected recon obvious choice to destroy 1 strength AA. With good chance to return to safety. I can certainly understand your frustration. But there is also a strong reason why recons are implemented the way they are. Recon movement has built-in ...

Re: Future dev diaries
This may have been mentioned elsewhere, sorry if I repeat it if so... When I first discovered Command & Conquer, one of the things I liked was the soundtrack cd. Instead of a short horrible prehistoric digital tune, a whole cd with inspiring background music came along. It somehow never got bore...

Repeating some of the replies above + new ones: -changes units compared to PC1 -connecting scenarios to overall picture of the war / larger region -changes in system of heroes -changes sea warfare -will game be issued with vanilla game with extended dls's - or available later on as sort of upgrade -...

Well all the tricks and hints in getting the Königstiger killed are just the things I do in keeping them alive. No single tank is invincible.

Re: Panzer Corps 2 - Dev Diary #3
Another (forum) suggestion: Im 54 years old and my father, currently at age 90, taught me the beginnings of strategic games when I was 6 - he was checkers champion in town and showed me how to play chess and checkers. Now magazines and newspapers in The Netherlands often have these "White's tur...

Re: Panzer Corps 2 - Dev Diary #3
Following up on my previous post, I do wish to continue to add suggestions, like this one: PC02.jpg My turn and would love to retreat my infantry + arty on such a position that it may surprise attacking Russian armor. How about a short-key that enables player to hover above each unit and see range a...

Re: Panzer Corps 2 - Dev Diary #3
I will surely try out PC2, but my doubts about combining this wonderful board game with a 3D environment remain. The units stand out (on purpose) to recognize them instantly, but a 3D environment IMHO expects units to be (somewhat) hidden, as camo would arrange for. A 3D environment would expect uni...

Me.109E vs. 109F
Im a bit discouraged while travelling through Russia in January 1945, so decided to have a third go at Afrika, Manstein level. My strategy regarding Italian units, is to exchange for German units, as soon as prestige permits, in order to have them gain experience (and heroes) as soon as possible, wh...

Re: Panzer Corps 2 - Dev Diary #1
Some more suggestions: -can you add a pause button for the AI turn - Im afraid my memory fails in remembering what happens where exactly sometimes... (or maybe that is done intentionally ;-) ) -can you remove the auto-response of artillery backing up a unit attacked by AI? Instead yes/no option. Im ...

Re: Panzer Corps 2 - Dev Diary #1
You MUST add a more flexible way the weather is affecting the progressing game - the map is simply too large to have "no rain", or any other weather type for all hexes... Why are ground conditions the same for an entire map? Have changing weather conditions as it would behave in real life...

Re: Panzer Corps 2 - Dev Diary #1
PzC felt more like a puzzle game than strategy game to some degree, are there gonna be changes in that regard? How Air Defense will work? Do you plan having difference between light FlaK and heavy FlaK systems? Currently, our plan is as follows. Air defense units will protect area within their full...

Re: Panzer Corps 2 - Dev Diary #1
Im not into splitting units, butif it is considered than I do hope that strengthening units in between turns will also be changed from forced back to full strength to 1-by-1. Why do you think that replacing units by 1 point at a time is better? One obvious effect of this would be that repairing a u...

Re: Why "3D" Graphics Will Never be Good for PzC
I agree with prolines argument that pg, pc etc are boardgames not wargames - and these games all go back to the checkers and chess (and several more ancient 1000s year old strategy games) - like I mentioned before in other posts. Now- some things in life must change and progress, and will change dra...
