It depends of the battle outcome, win, loss, draw, participating leaders may die. I undestand that if an army is pursued, the fleeing general has more possibilities of being killed than the winning general, but, in the video battle I've post, the enemy general (Bertix of Senones) dies when his army...

You can export the battles in singleplayer whenever you want.

You can play multiplayer v multiple opponents in FoG Empires strategic level with the battles played out in the Empires system.

I am more than happy with that.

prevent - no. But the stronger the defense, the more likely the raid will fail, so fortifications + some regulars will defeat all but the largest raid (Most of the time)

This is definitely not just military map painter. It has a very involved trade and economic system along with the unique culture and Decadence mechanic which will prevent a straightforward map painting exercise. ...there is no historic precedent for any military being unable to starve out an inferior force in a city or castle..... hmmm, actually I think there is, and IIRC it wasn't especially uncommon...armies with no siege technology/weapons and no logistical capability often could neither take the place ...

Those asking for two or four turns per year have to ask themselves if they would think it satisfying on a gameplay basis to have a believing army say in place for up to 40 turns (in the case of Veii at 4 turns a year)...... But you're citing a rather extreme example, and if it happened in the game ...

Looking at the lists you have way more shooters than the Byzantines do. While their cavalry can somewhat shoot, you can mostly ignore the 50% bow guys since if they are shooting they are not charging which is right where you want them to be. Foot shooters should win pound versus pound versus horse ...
